"Noah and Shane Parker are, by any standard or measure, the best fishing guides I have ever encountered. My three fly fishing trips with them this year were truly outstanding. Each day was a memorable adventure, and under their masterful guidance, I managed to catch many sizeable rainbows and browns. Not only are Noah and Shane a pleasure to be with, but they also are incredibly gifted and patient teachers of the splendid, but for me, difficult art of fly fishing. They have made me a much better fly fisherman. Casey Stengel once said of Yogi Berra, "I never play a game without my man." Well, I never want to fly fish in New Mexico without Noah or Shane Parker."

"I recently went to NM with 2 friends to fish with Noah for 2 days. It was an unbelievable fishing experience. Day 2 we hiked down to the Chama, and nailed it. Monster Rainbows and Browns everywhere - I can't even remeber how many fish we all caught that day. Mostly good size too. Probably the best day fly fishing I have experienced. It's definitely a hike to get down into the river though - and I'm not sure I would venture in without Noah. So the Chama is safe until we go back and have Noah guide us in again. Hopefully soon."

"This was our third time to fish with LOE. Fished with Shane two years ago, Peter in August, and Noah in October. All three were fantastic and top-notch professionals. We had a blast with Noah two weeks ago catching numerous Browns and Bows on the Chama."

"Noah Parker and Peter at Land of Enchantment Guides
are simply the best.
We consistantly caught
trophy Browns and Rainbows each and every time we fish. I felt like I was in a time machine fishing unspoiled pristine waters holding trophy Browns and Rainbows and Catching them.But this was 2012 not 1880. But with these guides and their
ability to teach fly fishing you are going to have super results fishing for trophy brown and rainbow trout. Everything from the food to the conversation is top notch!!"

My wife and I both fished with Shane the first time, I myself with Shane twice more and also with Noah once.In that short amount of time spent with Shane and Noah I can really say I have two great friends, fishing with either of them is quite the experience, lots of laughs a little local history and some great help with my fly fishing, I have fished all my life but never any serious fly fishing, these guys are patient and full of knowledge!
Having guided hunters myself I know what it takes to keep clients happy, It comes to Noah and Shane naturally and they enjoy the time as much as there clients.""

"My wife and I spent 2 days with Noah fishing on the most beautiful rivers we have ever been on. The last time we fished with Noah was on the Valle Caldera and it was wonderful but this trip was amazing. Noah is patient, patient and can I say patient. He teaches and put us on the fish even in a time when the fishing was not that great overall. We simply had the time of our lives. I would recommend Noah and his crew to anyone who wants to learn how to fly fish and most importantly have a great time. Noah, you are the best and we look forward to our next trip."

"Our family of four were fortunate to spend a day with Peter and Andrew on the Pecos River outside of Santa Fe. We had been fly fishing on other vacations, so we knew what to expect. We were very satisfied with our experience. Our guides listened and chose the venue that was just right. They were very attentive, and saw to all of our needs. We would highly recommend Noah Parker and his team."

"We had a great day of fishing! I went on this trip with my 19 year old daughter who had never been been fly fishing before and I'm far from being an accomplished fly fisherman. We both had a great experience. Shane was an awsome guide and was excellent at helping us both have fun and get better. Most of all, I appreciate that he really worked hard to make sure we found fish and had a great time. I've been on a lot of guided fishing trips and having a guide that will work to put you in a position to be successful and make your trip enjoyable makes all the difference in the world."

"You drive through the high plains of New Mexico - open sky and the land clean and clear - an occasional roundup - relaxed riders herding cattle into carts along the road. Pick-up a day license at Antonito where nothing much is rushed and arrive at the Abeyta Ranch where the family dog wanders up to see if you need company. The Conejos winds through the cottonwoods and under a reclaimed bridge, clear and cold, and today bubbling at just the right flow.
The rod is not in your hand yet and already you remember why you do this silliest of fishing methods. It's about place - the ease of perfection - a riverbank and the hope of a rise. A rise that can best be described by the old Zulu salutation "sawubona" (literally -I see you,understand you, recognise you).
This fishing also about people, the ranch owners who happen to be there and greet you warmly, casually, and then the guide. We're fishing with Shane of Land of Enchantment guides - we've fished with his father Noah a couple of times before - and there is a welcome continuity in meeting Shane. Having the benefit of his fathers wide knowledge to supplement his own vast skill doesn't hurt. His affable ease belies his talent and it's not long before we greet a brown at the end of the line.
I fish with my wife, who always catches more than I do, but today she is slower than usual. Shane coaxes some activity on her line but it is only after a relaxing, simple and fresh lunch that she comes into her own.
She hooks a mammoth, playing it for a good 5 minutes before it runs for the bank and snags a submerged tree stump to break free. Not long after Shane gets her in touch with a magnificent cutthroat. I'm not sure who is more excited - her or Shane - I drop my rod and grab the back of her waders for safety as she scrambles precariously along the bank - the fish taking off downstream...it's an epic dance, two butterflies connected by gossamer. They come face to face for a brief moment and then Shane gently releases the cutthroat back into the stream.
The day was long -that good summertime, endless long- and when we said goodbye to Shane we had that perfect feeling that we had made a friend, that our bodies ached pleasantly and our souls were soothed."

"What a great day! Shane's encyclopedic knowledge of the fish and the area blended perfectly with his enthusiasm and approachability. He was able to work individually with two people of vastly different experience levels and make sure they both had an enjoyable time. We both caught 5-6 trout apeice, but more importantly, shared some incredible memories."

Additional Thoughts:I was not as sure-footed on the river rocks as I learned, and Peter was there assisting me all the way!
"What a wonderful experience!! We're from Minnesota and only know lake fishing. Just HAD to learn how to fly fish and what better place then New Mexico with beautiful waters coming down the mountains giving us beautiful rapids. The person we contacted was Noah Parker. He was so knowledgeable and got us so excited about our trip and settled our nerves about being novices at this new sport. We could hardly wait to see this magnificent part of our country that we had never experienced. Our guide, Peter Mosey, was fantastic! He took time to introduce us to this new world of fly fishing -- supplied us with everything from waders and boots to rods and reels. It was an intimate learning experience with just us and Peter and he was a great teacher!! We both caught trout and have the pictures to prove it!!! So many thanks to Noah Parker and Peter Mosey -- our experience could not have been better and we totally recommend them!! And, we've totally recommended them to our friends!"
