"Tightlines and Jeff Helfrich provided a wonderful experience. The guides, the down rver lodges, the scenery and the fishing were an experience I hope to repeat next time with my wife. We could have hoped for a few more and larger fish, but the overall experience was not diminished by this fact."

"I am a consumer of Orvis products. The Orvis endorsement of Jeff Helfrich’s company, Tightlines, Inc., for fly fishing on the Rogue River is highly justified. I enjoyed a 4-day, 3-night trip on the Rogue River with Jeff in early September. We rotated among five drift boat guides each half-day. All of them were accomplished outdoorsmen and fishermen. They knew the history, ecology, geology and wildlife of the Rogue River basin. The food was outstanding and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. Sleeping between sheets after a hot shower on a scenic river trip is a joy.
I strongly recommend Jeff Helfrich and his Tightlines group as river guides. I had the privilege of fishing the Rogue River with Jeff’s father 25 years ago. The family history of caring for the river, the guests and the fish is a legacy."

The river is one everyone should experience, it is enchanting. Very difficult to explain in words, you must float it to understand its beauty. Second, the outfitter, Tight Lines, Inc. treated us with great professionalism, top quality guides, experienced oarsman, great shore lunches, and super personalities.
Our only disappointment was the actual fishing, fewer fish and smaller fish than expected."

"I went with a friend on this trip with five other women fly fishers. We had four guides who gave us an incredible trip, from fishing to running rapids to cooking for us. The trip was filled with laughter and awe watching each other enjoy our surroundings from fishing to learning about the history of the Wild and Scenic Rogue. Our first night lodge was the most rustic, having been built in the 1930's, to our last night at a well-appointed family-run lodge. We caught plenty of half-pounders the last two days, went by a black bear sitting in the river munching on her fill of nutrient filled greens, to a sturgeon rising right next to the raft traveling directly in front of our Mackenzie drift boat. I've traveled from Patagonia to New Zealand to Alaska and this was one of the most enjoyable trips I have taken. Our guides knew how to take care of everything just right. Thanks, Guys."

"Tight Lines and Jeff Helfrich do an amazing job on this fly fishing trip down the Rogue River in SE Oregon. The Rogue is one of the premier fishing and rafting rivers in Oregon and may be unparalleled in its beauty, whitewater experience and variety of wildlife.
With amazing lodges and wonderful accommodations, along with fantastic meals served 3 times a day, it's very easy to forget one is rafting an undeveloped and pristine white water river essentially unchanged since the 1960's.
We had a great time and look forward to our next trip with Tight Lines."

"This was an X-mas present for me and my four boys. Guides were superb. Most had been doing it for 20 Yrs. Food was fabulous. Lodges really fun,if a little rustic. Very knowledgeable guides. Knew the history, and , by the way, the fishing was good. 1/2 pounders are the best. I'd do it again in a minute."
