"I took a half-day excursion to Elevenmile Canyon with David Caraghar from Anglers Covey on the morning of 5/16 and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I learned more than a few things about fly fishing, and managed to land a 16-inch cutbow after losing a few strikes because I didn't get my rod up fast enough. David was a great guide and teacher, and I enjoyed swapping tales with him."

"This was our second trip with guide Jon Kleis. Jon suggested still water fishing at Spinney this go around. My dad, son and myself could'nt be happier. These were some of the biggest fish we all had ever caught. The average fish was 20" and had a few 22"+. The only thing I missed on this trip was Jon's guacamole."

"I fish Driftless area of WI with lots of trout but on avg none compare to tailwaters of CO. Spent day with Steve my guide and had a great day. Steve taught me a few things, knew where fish were, could spot fish i could not see and didn't laugh at me when a >20" bow flipped me off at the net. Would reommend Steve highly."

"Just wanted to thank you for our trip with Ken Romero yesterday to Spinney.
He took good care of us. He was very attentive and when we had a rats nest he had another pole ready...we were always in the water thanks to him. We caught 20-25 nice fish, most in the 18 to 20 inch! While others were not catching a thing, due to his great knowledge, we were pulling them in. Could have not asked for a better guide."

"My wife and I wandered into Angler's Covey just to look around, when she noticed that you guys did guided tours. So Tim tried to get multiple people to take us out and when he realized that there was no one left, Tim himself made the sacrifice and took us.
On our little adventure he filled us honeymooners in on the different types of fish in the river and also the different ways to fish them. I would have to say with Tim's help we may have talked my wife into becoming a fly fisherman after all.
We might not have caught a ton of fish but the laughs, and the memories were priceless. I would 100% recommend anyone who travels to the Colorado Springs area and is interested in trying something new, to head into Anglers Covey and head out for a trip with Tim, He's a stand up guy with a ton of knowledge, and you will find yourself having so much fun you won't know where you day went. Thanks again Tim"

"I visited Colorado Springs this past October on a business trip and was able to book a day trip with Steve to experience my first fly fishing trip in Colorado. Having been an avid bass fisherman in South Louisiana my whole life, I had just started getting into fly fishing and the day I had with Steve was a blast. Not only did I catch a bunch of big rainbows, Steve took the time to teach me a lot of different techniques. I enjoyed the day so much, I decided to return this week for a fun fishing trip. I spent two days with Steve in 11 mile canyon and the scenery is unbelievable and the fishing was great. Being an Orvis endorsed outfitter is why I chose Anglers Covey and with my two experiences with Steve, I will only hire Orvis guides in the future. Not only did I have 3 great days of fishing along with instructions, I gained a new friend. Thanks Steve !"

"We had a trip to Elevenmile Canyon with Gene Rea. I have fished the Canyon before but this was truly amazing. We were into fish with minutes of wetting our lines. Gene knew the river and how to fish it. He made the trip a memory that will last forever for my son and I. If you ever have a chance to take a trip I would highly recommend using Gene as a guide. For the people at Orvis please use Gene frequently for trips for he is a true asset to your company and Anglers Covey."

"My Son and I guided with Jon Kleis. This was a refresher for me and first time for my son. Jon was great, he got me rolling and really helped my sone with techniques. He not only got us on some great fish but taught us alot about the how and why. I will definatley book another trip with Jon. He makes a pretty mean Guacamole to."

Additional Thoughts:There was a bit of confusion with our reservation, but that was mostly my bad.
"Casting lessons on Saturday for my girlfriend & I ... I have fly fished a few years but know I still have lots to learn, my girlfriend had cast a fly rod once. Steve was a fantastic instructor. He helped me refine several weaknesses in my technique & gave Michelle a solid foundation to build on when we took our quided trip the next day. Jon Kleis was our guide for an excursion up Eleven Mile Canyon on Sunday. On a somewhat windy, but otherwise gorgeous day, Jon shared his enthusiasm and knowledge freely, showed great patience with both of us and, frankly, worked his butt off to assure us of an enjoyable experience. And the icing on the cake, despite challenging conditions Jon got us both into fish & Michelle was able, after a couple of missed hook-sets & breaking off a very decent fish, Jon guided her to her first "fish in the net on a fly rod!" a beautiful sixteen plus inch rainbow. You only catch that first first fish once, and I truly believe Jon was as happy as Michelle & I!"

"Took a group of Veterinarians on a Trip with your shop. Booking was easy . The trip was really good all my clients caught fish and most had never fly fished before. Phil and his staff made it fun and easy and a lot of fun plus Phil is a pretty dam good cook."

""My wife and I are always looking for new things to do and when our friend from Michigan arrived to go Elk hunting with me we ended up with a couple of extra days. I could not have asked for a better day on the river or a better guide then Greg Blessing. Never having fly fished before my wife and I were catching fish and learning new things within moments of getting in the water. My friend had experience and still learned new things and was on the fish just as fast. "I've been fly fishing about 25 years and hope to learn something every time I get on the water. This trip exceeded my expectations. On November 2 a buddy of mine and I had a great time fishing with Greg Blessing and we both learned a lot. We are normally summertime-fishermen and not all that familiar with late fall tactics. Greg taught us both a lot and was very entertaining personally. Additionally, he presented a gourmet hot lunch cooked on a way cool portable stove. It was a fun day. Caught lots of fish and learned a lot of good stuff!"

"Although I have never had much desire to fish (being the cigar smoking boat driver I am), I am definitely hooked on fly fishing, and I owe it all to Jon. As a wedding gift/bachelor party for my son, I hired Jon for a full day of teaching me how to fly fish and advancing my son's level of skill. He put us on great fish all day, even during the 'blizzard' that almost killed us! I can't wait to take another trip, and I think he will be hearing from my son in the near future. Thanks again for making our trip most memorable."

"Tim Hannan volunteered to take me night fishing for trophy Brown trout. As an old dude with a wife that will not let me do "dumb and dangerous" stuff anymore,(like fishing at night alone) I had to find someone who was good at keeping me out of trouble while giving me a chance at the trophy Brown trout. Tim got me into the big Browns and home in one piece."

"Dave Herber took me to Rainbow Falls Mountain Trout for a half-day trip with lots of trout! My mobility was limited, and he was very patient and supportive in accessing each site. He not only supplied the morning coffee and a breakfast roll, but he also created a video of the trip! I really appreciated his attentiveness and enthusiasm during the entire venture."
