Located on one of the most famous of salmon rivers in the world, the Norwegian Flyfishers Club is the perfect place to pursue the sport of kings. The Gaula has long been well-known for its big Atlantic salmon - 25 lb. fish are common and 40 lb. salmon are caught every year - and is considered one of the best Atlantic salmon rivers in Norway. The Norwegian Flyfishers Club features comfortable accommodations amid the scenic forests of central Norway near the village of Støren. The Trondheim Fjord is one of the most well protected fjords in Norway, perhaps the reason why Gaula salmon have the opportunity to grow to such a large average size. Just an hour and a half from the airport in Trondheim, the NFC controls over 7 miles, and 25 pools on the river. A new 2014 addition to the lodge includes up-to-date single, double and suite rooms with accommodations for up to 14 anglers.
