"The natural stag horn buttons on the fly, belt loops and buttons are sewn on very loosely. Certainly likely to fail on one of the very first wearings.
The rise of the pant is low-to-midrise so in larger sizes like 44 they may feel unusually low cut just like a designer Jean.
The leather feels and looks more like split suede and would definitely absorb dampness if you hunted in them. To prevent undue wear, they put a black painted on finish to the pocket edges and cuffs but it really looks awkward.
For the price, I feel Orvis has many hunting breeks and pants that are superior choices."

"When I saw these last year my interest was peaked. While there was a supply issue last year I was able to quickly nab up a pair this year and I am not disappointed. While these pants are a little tight in the stride they are very well made. So well made I am going to have trouble wearing them into the field. They are a strikingly handsome pair of pants and I have already recieved a number of compliments. You never know when you buy a pair of leather pants, but these are very tatsefully done and would be at home at any high-class hunting lodge. Waist size is dead on, but again a little snug in the stride."
