Pack & Travel Waders with SonicSeam Technology

At just 2 lbs. 6 oz. in size large, Pack & Travel waders pack down, pack in, and provide great comfort—the perfect waders for backcountry fishing, travel, warm-weather, and low-water fishing. The waders are 30% lighter than Pro Guide™ waders. Both models are super lightweight, flexible, and comfortable, yet rugged; and pack down to save space and weight for long trips and floatplane weight limits. A groundbreaking, patented, and exclusive sonic-welded seam technology eliminates threads that can wear out and stitch holes that, over time, can eventually leak. Leg seams run up the back of the wader to further reduce abrasion. A special four-layer breathable, waterproof fabric keeps you dry and comfortable. Detachable suspenders on the chest waders make for easy quick conversion to waist-high waders in a pinch. Both come with an easy-snap, adjustable belt. In overcast. Outer shell: 100% nylon. Imported.

Great performing wader,
March 12, 2012
By: PatKane
"The Orvis Pack and Travel Waders are like my jammies. I have worked and guided very hard for the past two years in the same pair. These waders are comfortable and very durable. They're great for long wade-fishing hikes or wet days spent in a drift boat. I love how they wear like a pant without excessive bulk and quickly convert to a chest wader for deep wading or wet weather. I'm excited to spend another season with them on the water.

Stockingfoot too small in XLShort,

"Like the concept and the product except the stockingfoot is too small so I'll either have to change it or buy a larger wader which I don't want to do."

Taller in the saddle,
March 19, 2013
By: Scotch1

"As you know, I love my P&T wader pants. While I still don't venture into the deeper water, intentionally, on occasion, circumstances beyond one's control are thrust upon one. For those instances, I now ride taller in the saddle in my P&T chest waders. Same great comfort, light weight, ease of on/off and packing away for travel, but, now, I also have the protection against the perils of unexpected holes and irregular stream bottoms when stalking the big guys into unfamiliar territory. I appreciate the extra protection, safety and confidence that my P&T chest waders give me."

Sonic Seam Waste Waders,
March 13, 2013
By: Thymallusbum
from Driffield, Yorkshire, UK
"I bought these last August for a trip to Austria & have used them quite a lot since with some long walk-ins, particularly in the Austrian Alps & on a recent trip to New Zealand.
I have found them to be very light, very breathable and so far they haven't leaked.
The only real weak point seems to be the gravel guards where the stitching has had to be repaired & where a couple of wear holes have appeared in the rather thin neoprene.
Otherwise they are an excellent product.

Favorite waders,
February 1, 2013
By: ActionontheJackson

"I have had several different brands of waders and these are hands down my favorites. They are my first pair of Orvis waders. I would highly suggest trying them on in the store before purchasing to insure a good fit. My only complaint is that I wish they had hand warmers."

Good duck hunting waders,

"I bought these waders for waterfouling. The straps are not easy to attach & there needs to be more loops to attach the belt. They are lightweight & durable & great for California duck hunting!"

Great waders,
September 15, 2012
By: CWL14
from Greenfield, MA
"I have had these waders for a few months now and I think they are great. They do pack down to a great travel size, but use them as everyday waders. The suspenders are pretty thin, not much to them, however they are comfortable. I like having a belt loop in the back. Good feature.
I may invest in the silver sonics for the increased features and keep these as backup, but I'd recommend them to anyone for travel or everyday use."

Excellent quality product,
September 10, 2012
By: scubadiver36
"These are my first ever pair of waders and Orvis were recommended by Fishing for Heroes for their quality and value for money.
I purchased them in the sale and have used them twice since. The thing that stands out the most is the quality and the fit.
i would recommend this product to anyone and the other great feature is the size and machine washable."

Good but not Great,
August 31, 2012
By: 48legacy

"I just wish you could get a foot size when you order waders. My last pair of Silver Label waders were the perfect size in the boot foot but these are a little large and they bunch up around the toes. For being a short size the crotch is a little long. These waders need belt loops on the side and front, not just in the back. If you wear them as hip waders the belt won't hold them up. Other than that, they should last for two or three years which is the most I get out of a pair of waders. They are cool and easy to wear and the suspenders don't seem to hurt your shoulders."

Great for travel!,

"Living in a metro area, I have to travel anywhere I fish. These waders are incredible for packing away for air travel, etc. The bag is a compression bag that comes with them and reduces them to no more than 6 inches in diameter and approximately 10 inches long. Perfect duffle size!!!"

Orvis Delivers,
July 13, 2012
By: cp44fla

"Bought the pack and travel waders for a recent trip to Wyoming. Im 6'4" 250lbs. and was somewhat worried if they would fit. I used the sizing guide and the xl-long was perfect. The waders performed great through 4 solid days of fishing. Best of all, they pack down to about the size of a loaf of bread. Perfect to attach to a pack and hike down to the river and doesn't take up much space in luggage while traveling."

Poorly designed suspenders,
July 7, 2012
By: JMS43
from Westchester, ny
"This was the first pair of waders I purchased, the fit was great, the weight was super light, BUT the suspenders stink. They are not comfortable, hard to get in and out of with out undoing them.they're too short they pull up on cord around the chest making that tight. The waist belt also needs a few more belt loops. The belt fell off almost every time I got out of the waders. I ended up returning them and getting the Pro guide."

Good fit,
May 31, 2012
By: Duffinboy

"These were the best waders I could find with a short inseam. If you are built like a "Little Teapot" , short and stout, it is difficult to find waders that are short in the leg and still fit on top.
I think a major cause of waders leaking is the that bad fit promotes rubbing of seams and booties.
The Sonic waders fit better than any I could find and the welded seams at the rear eliminate the wearing factor. I have only used them a few times and there are no apparent leaks. While they are lightweight waders and I don't think well suited to heavy bushwacking, I believe that should stand up to standard wear. Despite the suspender issue that others have brought up (and I share) overall I am pleased. They arrived in Canada in less that a week.

good produce, could be better,
May 25, 2012
By: rizeye

"I've had these for about a year now. I bought them for traveling but also use then locally when I'm sending my other Orvis pro wader back for repairs. They are comfortable and light and have not leaked yet. They are no frills, for sure, no outside chest pocket or hand warmer pockets but that's what i wanted for travel. The down side for these waders are the suspenders and belt. For the money you would think they would not be so cheap and hard to use. The suspenders are very thin and cut into your shoulders and use velcro to loop around the chest draw cord, very bad design. The belt is hard to buckle, especially for people with a larger gut, this I know. The neoprene bootie is too short. The orvis boots i have are taller than the bootie so the gravel guard does not lay flat from the seam. I am hoping this does not cause a leak. You would think Orvis would design all their equipment to be compatable. However, all in all the waders them sevles are whay expected and i just use other suspenders and belt that are better than what Orvis gives you."

Excellent Road Warriors,

"I used the Pack and Travel Waders last weekend on the Muskegon River. Out of the water they breathe and in the water they kept me warm enough on a Spring morning with a light underlayer. The P&T waders packed up easily after use. These waders delivered on every cast! Even if you own waders these are a great add when packing in."
