"This stocking is so nice and such a great quality. I cross stitch and I could never make something quite as nice as this. It is needlepoint and thicker/better quality. We got lots of compliments on it throughout the holiday when it was hanging on the fireplace. It is a decent size and can fit more than I expected."

"These needlepoint stockings are of excellent quality in design, fabric, and construction; custom inscriptions are well done. Only dog-themed designs were available this year; this was somewhat disappointing as I had hoped for child-focused designs, However, the dachshund stocking was perfect. It did, however, prove to be shorter and wider than the Santa/train design previously bought."

"or our Golden Lab, Major, before Christmas! It looks just like him! We love it, as it makes our fireplace complete. We also have an embroidered stocking for our 13.5 black lab, Java. Their stockings are side by side - they are sooooooo beautiful! I had searched for quite a while to find just the right stocking, and, VIOLA!, Orvis had the perfect one!

"Although I prefer the graphics on the lab stocking that we got from Orvis between 5 and 10 years ago, this is a very nice stocking. The lab graphic is done in multiple shades of brown and this gives the image depth. I added my dog's name to the stocking and the script lettering is large and attractive."

"The Christmas stocking we ordered from Orvis was for a 7 week-old Labrador mix puppy which showed-up at our door almost dead. We nursed it for a week and through God's mercy, the puppy lived, despite the Vet's opinion that all efforts on his behalf would be futile. We named him "Buddy" and he has become a member of our family, sharing his first Christmas on earth with us this year. The Orvis needlepoint stocking was perfect in every way. It was faithfully represented in the description and was of the highest quality. It will hang above our fireplace for many Christmases to come.
