No need to break the bank if you plan on hitting both rivers and lakes this summer. A skillful representation of a small, immature damselfly nymph, the Thrift Shop basically functions as two flies in one. Typically fished April – September on Western rivers and June – September on still waters, this beadhead nymph is a good option to drop behind a terrestrial during the peak of summer. Sizes 14, 16.

"Caddis pupae are way underfished. I've known this for a long time, but never really fished them very often because I didn't ever have a "confidence fly" to fish in that species and stage... until now.
This fly just gets it done. It hits all the marks for a great pupa pattern without going over the top. Just enough flash without going crazy. Buggy and delicious."
