The Quarter-Zip Estate Sweater
This sweater style has been long favored for its handsome, masculine looks and universal comfort. Thanks to fine merino wool, this men's sweater is also remarkably soft and comfortable. Merinos are regarded as having the finest and softest wool of any sheep in the world. Accented in washable genuine leather with shoulder patches, elbow patches, and zipper trim. Quarter-zip styling offers the ability to vent the sweater depending on activity level. Waist, sleeve, and neck are ribbed for a finished fit. Merino wool/acrylic. Washable. Imported.Sizes: S(34-36), M(38-40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), XXL(50-52).

"I timed my purchase for a winter getaway in deep forests of Canada.
I am 6' tall, weighing 215 lbs, with a muscular build and assumed a large is what I needed.
What I recieved was a well made and aesthetically pleasing sweater that was about two sizes too big.
Sadly, I have to return this sweater and have missed the season."

"Cool look with the leather patches, but the seams on the shoulders make it look like I'm wearing shoulder pads. Also, remember that this is boiled wool, which is a nice just-heavy-enough weight but you'll need a long-sleeve undergarment to keep from itching."

"This sweater is really well made, the leather is quite soft. The Navy is a very good color.
Others said it runs small and to order up, I found it runs true to size, too big and the leather on shoulders is too far off the shoulder, returned it for a medium, much better"

"I liked the sweater represented on the website, but feel that the it did not clearly outline the picture of the sweater and the size.
The XXL size really was two sizes to large. Also, the color of the item represented on the website was different from when holding it in my two hands. Does not look like a true Navy blue in person.
This is the third instance of a web site order that did not accurately represent the color and size of the item(s). Sorry Orvis, this is becoming a major stumbling point for me with purchasing clothes from your website.

"I really like this sweater, very classy looking. Gets lot of comments. But I'm with the other guys, definitely order a size larger than you normally would. I wear a large but after reading the other reviews I went with an XL and it fits perfect."

"This is a really nice sweater, and certainly surprised me by the soft inside, almost like a sweat shirt softness. But very smart on the outside.

"Great looking sweater. I wear a 42L and ordered a large, but with the lining, it was too small. It is cut a little short in the sleves too. Order 1 size larger if at all concerned.
I was surprised by the lining. It means no itching and a lot warmer and lots of blue fuzz on the white shirt, but again the sweater looks great."
