"I've bought the shotshell belt for my husband for closet to 20 years and this latest style he did not like. The waist band it much thicker (he can barely clip his phone to the belt). The shotshell says Orvis (he loved the old style that looked like a real shell). He is using because he likes the belt and had used it for years but he preferred the prior style."

"My first impression was Wow the leather on this belt is thick. I tried the belt on but couldn’t get the end thought the loop (the loop with the shotgun shell end on it). I took off the belt to get a better look and found two things I was not happy with. One, shotgun shell loop is held together with three staples (that’s cheap). Two, one of the two snaps that holds the buckle on was missing, or half of it was missing. My overall option is that this belt will last a very long time once I fix the two flaws, and that the price is too high for a simple leather belt."

"My husband loves this belt. I purchased this belt as a Christmas gift and he just flipped over it. Whether you are a hunter or just a game enthusiast, this belt will be a big hit. The leather is a beautiful, rich brown color. The gleaming shot gun shell is a nice addition, yet not too gaudy. Looks great with a pair of jeans or khakis."

"It is hard to find a decent belt anymore. Faux leather or thin leather is the usual and they do not last long for me at all. This belt is working out well with little to no sign of wear or stretch that I usually see by now. It is an expensive belt, but I prefer to pay more for quality items."

"The leather is well made and tanned, but the buckle looks cheesy. The roller is unnecessary and seems cheap. The shotshell decoration seems like plastic, when a metal piece would be just as easy to produce. I would have preferred a bit longer belt ,to allow the free end to fit under the belt loops in most of my trousers. Other belts I have are longer for the same size. Again, a good belt, but not outstanding."

"I really like this belt. The one draw back is that the lettering on the shell is a real visual contrast to the metal of the shell, almost as if you are advertising for Orvis. I would prefer the letters to be engraved as opposed to painted on or applied. However, because most brands advertise on their clothing anyway (and often far more than this), it is forgivable."

"I purchased this belt about a year ago and have had nothing but good things to say about it up to this point. Yesterday I noticed that the shotshell was no longer on the belt. I am very disappointed in the quality of this product. I shop at Orivs for their quality, but not sure if I will make a purchase from them in the future."
