"That is the order I put things in the car. This great vest goes in before the cartridges or the net. The UK is awash with vests from various companies but the leather trim distinguishes this from the rest as well as the flecks of colour in the weave. Fortunately, as many said it came up large, I was able to try before I bought at the Westerham store in Kent, England which has the the knack of stocking the perfect fishing /shooting kit/accessories for its size (quite small). On a crisp, frosty sunny morning, with a thick shirt underneath nothing beats it. And after a bit of "walked up" or rough woodland shooting, this stylish bit of kit is just at home looking after its wearer in the pub afterwards when cradling a nice Single Malt. No criticisms at all on the zip! But worn with moleskins or cords it looks equally at home on riverbank, woodland or the odd county show or public house. Well done Orvis, another triumph! Special thanks to Martin, Terry and Bev at the shop. Pleasure to deal with people who actually know about the products they are selling!!!!!"

"First time I wore your herringbone, leather trimmed vest a friend said, "I didn't have you pegged as a hunter." I loved the comment though I'm not a hunter but your Country Tweed Vest says "Outdoor life can be fun". I love wearing it and the compliments I get are amazingly frequent."

"Vest is well made but is sized very large. Ordered a large and it should have fit but it was very large and not snug to the body as you expect a vest to be. Sizing should be considered when ordering."

"The sizing on this garment is not up to Orvis' standards. The vest didn't hold its shape after one wearing. Not sure what I should do about it. I'm a very unhappy customer. Oh well, Buyer Beware!"

"This product has a poorly designed zipper. Presumedly it was meant to have the benefit of having the zipper work from both the neck and the waist. However, the pulls on the zipper are extremely small and it was impossible to start. I never could get it started while wearing the vest and it took ten minutes to latch it when I had it off. Furthermore, the shipping charges for this vest were excessive and non-refundable. I sent the vest back to Orvis. This will be the last item I purchase from an Orvis catalog."

"I really liked the the picture of this vest. But, as soon as i put it on, everything changed. The fit can only be described as "Frumpy'. It seemed bulky with no shape and just did not have the sharp or chrisp feeling that I had expected in an Orvis garment."

"The fit and finish of this vest is superb; quality materials and attention to detail. It is remarkably warm, yet comfortable when moving from outdoors to inside. You can't beat the versatility of wool. My only reservation is the snaps used in addition to the zipper, they pop open easily. This, and all garments, should have metal buttons not snap buttons. Otherwise, great vest for casual or more dressy clothing."
