Digital Internal Hearing Protection

Nerve deafness from loud noise is a significant problem that comes from the cumulative effect of loud noise over the years. Gunfire is a major cause and is easily prevented with the proper hearing protection like these electronic shooting ear plugs. These Digital Hearing Protectors offer the same advanced, 100%-digital technology and quality found in medical hearing aids help you hear much better, in the field or anywhere else, and protect your ears from shotgun blasts—all at half the price of medical hearing aids. Plus, an ergonomic ear-canal design leaves them virtually invisible. All models give identical protection and instantly cut off sounds above 93 dB—with shotgun blasts ranging at about 130-140 dB. Great electronic hearing protection for hunting and the sporting clays field. The Premium model, however, gives you even greater feedback cancellation and background noise cutoff; better overall volume; and better directional and clarity capability. It's the model of choice if you suffer from a hearing loss. Complete instructions included. Complete instructions included. Made in USA.

The best of their kind...but,

"Excellent functionality but the fig doesn't work for everybody. I had poor fit but the manufacturer offered a option to have them installed in custom fitted molds of my ears (for a fee) that made all the difference. I have larger ear canals and that impacted fit. These "fit most" as they are.
They do require service for a nominal charge every 1-2 years. That has been my experience and those of my shooting friends. They are a fine electronic device and are prone to quirks every so often. They are the best product of their kind but consider them as reliable as a personal computer and you won't have unreasonable expectations."

"I do a lot of shooting a recently decided that I needed to invest in hearing protection. I can't shoot with ear muffs because the stock of my gun hits them when I mount. I bought the standard pair and use them often. They are tough in upland situations, as I struggle sometimes to hear the exact direction of the dog's beeper collars when they are out in the field. Plus they pick up on wind, crickets, walking through brush, and other sounds like that. But these are ideal for duck hunts, dove hunts or any place wear you are doing a lot of shooting."

"For the price I expected much better performance. I have hearing enhancing, loud noise dampening muffs that I wanted to get away from. I'm going to have to stick with the muffs though. These are on the way back."
