Big stripers love big baitfish. This Herring fly pattern just scored its second 20 lb. class tippet world record and was less than ½ pound off the women's all tackle world record. This big Herring fly offers the big profile that trophy stripers love. Excellent fly pattern with a depth charge line for probing rips and deep structure. In a blitz situation, use an intermediate line to get the Herring fly just under the surface and strip hard, as if the fly were fleeing the scene. Colors, Herring, Bunker. Size 4/0. Length 8".

"Nicely tied, somewhat misleading is that the COWEN'S GHOST CUDA/SHARK FLY is just as large as this fly and even has a larger profile. This is a great fly, I was just hoping for something a bit more "magnum.""

"Back in Nov 2007, Joan Sharrot of Staten Island, NY caught a 27+ lb striped bass on 20 lb test tippet that shattered the current women's record by over 6 lbs. Joan was using the olive bunker version of the magnum baitfish. This is the 2nd IGFA line class world record striped bass taken on this patten."

" People consistancely ask me what I attribute my World Record Striper to, my answer is the same always, COWEN'S MAGNUM BUNKER. Once you see this fly come alive you'll neaver take it off. The material moves like no other and the blend of colors is pure artistry. I'ts weighted body and hook size are perfect for sinking lines. This fly made my record possiable. "The fly is currently holds a 20lb. Test world record Striper caught on 4/24/02 in Raritan Bay NJ. The fish weighed 36.4 lbs. The fish took the Bunker color Magnum Baitfish."
