Great rod,

"This is my second one. I fish it with a Shimano Stradic C14 4100 and it's the most sensitive outfit I've ever owned. Though it's a travel rod (and I took it with great results to Costa Rica last winter and caught lots of snook from the shore) I fish it off my boat all summer in Long Island Sound. It's perfect for stripers and blues (though the one truly big fish I've hooked so far--probably a 35 inch striper--came close to spooling me before coming out of the water and spitting the lure.) But I've got a couple of 12 lb keepers and lots of 5 to 7 lb fish to the boat and they're a ton of fun on this outfit. I highly recommend it."

Very practical travel rod,

"I needed a rod that packs easily and is good for freshwater and light saltwater. The rod is well made with a good action. It has strength and good tip sensitivity. It casts well. The handle and reel seat is well made and the rod has a nice appearance. The travel tube is great. It is well padded and well designed. I would recommend this product."
