Dun Variant

Some call it the Mahogany Dun, some call it the Dun Variant, or Slate Drake, but whatever you call it, the Isonychia drake fly pattern is a very important hatch in the grand scheme of things. They hatch in late spring and early summer and again in the fall. This classic drake dry fly pattern is spot on. Color, Gray. Sizes: 10, 12, 14.

"Great pattern for surface-feeding picky trout. Toss one of these and float it correctly and be prepared for some big strikes. Love the quill thorax."
