Great for my aging Golden Retriever,
May 1, 2013
By: Shugrady
"I have read about elevated feeders being great for retrievers and finally decided to see what all the hoopla was about. (That and the fact that I broke my dog's ceramic bowl and needed to replace it.) My dog initially barked at the elevated bowls, most likely because he wasn't ready for a change after 9 years of bending to eat. Within a couple of days, he took right to the new bowls and now seems to eat more slowly, plus he actually wags his tail now when eating and drinking. The size of the bowls is great, especially the water bowl, since I don't have to keep filling that one up after my dog drinks. I also like the fact that even if I drop one of the bowls, it won't break.
All in all, a great purchase that I probably should have made a few years ago, but glad I finally did it. Worth the money.

Good looking feeder,
April 3, 2013
By: UpperOwensDreamer
"Only had it a few weeks, but it appears to be well-constructed and it's certainly better looking than the many less-expensive, plastic alternatives out there. It's a good height for my almost-grown standard poodle. One design concern- the lip of each bowl rests on the edge of the wood cut-out, trapping water that's splashed out of the bowl - could lead to water damage over time."

Gordon Setter Kitchen Table,
February 26, 2013
By: BlackGordon
from Burnt Hills, NY
"Received the large elevated wooden feeder in a very timely manner. The dark cherry feeder blended well with the light/dark kitchen decore next to the dinette set. Set-up was easy and washed the containers before use. Water in one dish and a premium dog food in the other with ample container space. The height was just right since my Gordon Setter (Mac) went for it immediately and loves the water dish with cold fresh water. He can alternate very easily between eating and surping the water. Mac is three years old and loves to be out doors and also loves his personal kitchen table now! Quality of the set was excellent."

Split Elevated Wooden Feeder,
February 26, 2013
By: Lydddd
"Although handsome and functional, the feeder came with a nick that was worked over with stain and varnish. I was not going to do anything about it since I figured eventually it would get scratched or nicked, but the next day the wood plank on top split on one side. I have reordered the item and asked that it be looked at before sent and returning this one."

Beautiful feeder,
December 31, 2012
By: MomOfKona

"This feeder was delivered (fully assembled). It is such a beautiful feeder and does not detract from the decor of my home. The bowls are quite large and hold a lot of water. You can't beat the look of this. I have a chocolate lab and she looks so much more comfortable eating from the raised feeder versus her old one that sat on the floor (it is supposed to be better for digestion too)."

Not quite what I was expecting,
December 30, 2012
By: Anonymous
from Cary, NC
"I purchased this dog bowl after having purchased what I believed was the same bowl in a store. We liked the one we bought at the store so much we decided to buy a second. However once it arrived, I was disappointed that it was not the same as hat we got in the store...the Internet version is not as heavy or attractive and doesn't have the Orvis :-("

Great Product,
December 14, 2012
By: juann
"I bought this feeder for my son's dog Brady. Brdy is a Golden Retreiver and he is a big do. Well I read that it was much healthier for a dog to eat out of a raised feeder. I did a lot of research on all kinds of raised feeders but I decided this was the best feeder around. I had it sent to my son and he and Brady are so happy with this feeder. Brady adjusted to it within a day. I did not see it but my son is so pleased with the way it is made and the finish on the feeder. It does not move at all like other feeders. I would recommend this product to everyone who is looking for a raised feeder. Excellent Quality. I am glad I found Orvis. Thank You"

Fits the need,

"I looked around for a long time looking for an elevated feeder for our dog. I ordered this one for Christmas and am very happy with it. It seems to be solidly built. THe bowls are big enough that our 70# doodle wont need them refilled several times a day. Its the perfect height for him. While I feel like the price is quite expensive to buy a feeder (not just through Orvis), its durability and use (hopefully for several years) will make it worth it. Highly recommended!"

Attractive and Well Made Dog Food Stand,
November 28, 2012
By: DK2012
"I cannot speak highly enough about this dog food stand. My dog Bear loves it and it looks great in my kitchen. It is an attractive solution instead of using messy dog food bowls. The construction is first class; it feels very sturdy and well made. I love it and am getting it for all the dog owners I know. I would definitely recommend it for anyone with a prized pooch."
