"This is my second pair of these pants. The fabric is soft and very stretchy, so feels lovely when I wear the pants. Because of my figure, I've taken in the waist about 4"--that's the only reason i've given it 4 stars instead of 5. Once I've altered the garment, I'm happy every time I wear them. Very becoming!"

"Very nice material and very well made. These pants fit beautifully and look smart too. I like the stretch of the fabric which ensures that they are a good fit and comfortable too. Also, they have a nice high waistline which will keep the kidneys warm in cold weather. I think they are probably the most comfortable trousers I've ever purchased and just been able to put on and wear without any alteration,"

"I ordered my first pair of corduroy L-pocket pants last year in green and was very pleased with both the color and the fit. It's very flattering and great for fall/winter. I like this particular style because it can be casual or used more formally also. I decided i had better get it in brown before they decide to change it or discontinue it. They were able to find the brown for me at one of their stores. I might even try for one in black!"

"Very happy with these trousers especially at sale price .They are the only ones that fit snug around the waist and hips. I bought them in black in autumn then birchwood in the sale .So comfortable even though I aiways have to shorten my Orvis trousers."

"I have a tall and narrow build so I'm constantly on the lookout for long-enough pants that are comfortable but don't fall off. These are long enough and comfy but they do fall down. Maybe if a smaller size were available they would be better but right now I'm looking for a belt and that defeats the "comfort" part of the equation. Sigh."

"I gave these pants a 4 because I wish you would NOT put the hip pockets on them. They would be a dressier pant and could be worn lots more places. I personally have to spend time taking them off, as I do the belt loops, because I don't like belts. Otherwise they are great."

"I bought the size 10 (which I usually buy from Orvis) and these cords were a little big-I just ordered the size 8. I am keeping the 10 because I love these cords-the little bit of stretch makes them very comfortable and they also fit at the waist which is a plus for me.

"The pants were of good quality, classically styled and good fabric, not too heavy,nor too light.Unfortunately the sizing was off. The size 10 was so large I would have had to have them taken in and the size 8 was so small they fit like a sausage casing. The pants were too expensive to spend another $30 on alterations. I usually wear a size 10, but lately I've had to return all Orvis pants due to sizing problems."

"Best fitting - nicest weight - easiest care corduroys I have ever found that are equally flattering. I've been living in them since the weather turned cold, and am back for more. I agree that they run a tad big; perhaps a 1/2 size large, but certainly not a full size. What I'm also thrilled about is that it appears, from the review dates, that Orvis has been offering them for several years now, unlike most companies that change their offerings yearly. Well done, Orivs!"

"I first bought these pants in navy blue. The fit was fine and they were warm and comfortable. I like the look of the corduroy fabric which is so very fine whale corduroy that the pants almost look like velvet and as a result can have a dressier look with a refined sweater or blouse. There is enough stretch to be comfortable but not so much as to dilute the color of the pants by showing through. In short, I ordered a pair in black and will probably order more in other colors."

"These pants are comfortable and attractive. They run a little big. I exchanged my size 10 for an 8, and they are still roomy. I'm also a petite so I had to shorten them, but I wear them all the time and it was definitely worth the effort."
