Lambskin Munitions Vest
Inspired by a style first worn and popularized by Royal Air Force ground crews who needed a comfortable, rugged outer garment they could move in as they rearmed the Spitfires and Hurricanes that won the Battle of Britain. Longer than most vests, it won't ride up when you reach, and it's made of rugged lambskin leather with a smooth grain that is soft and supple. Lined with our 100% soft cotton moleskin for all-day comfort. Four exterior pockets. Two-way front zipper. In cognac. Professionally clean. Imported.Sizes S(34-36), M(38-40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), XXL(50-52). About 29" long in size large.

"Item arrived within a few days, well wrapped. It was on a quality hanger and zipped protection cover, very impressive. The quality is excellent with no flaws or blemishes in leather. Good lining and stitching. Zip is of a very good quality and should last for years. It provided a very comfortable fit if slightly generous. Hangs well and has plenty of good sized pockets. Being both smart and casual I will wear this for many different occasions. Will look good over both jumpers or shirts. Highly recommended."

"Excellent quality of leather with a lovely grain and colour to it.
Also the leather is very soft & supple which makes it extremly comfortable & versatile to wear.
This product screams quality and can be worn with either a thick sweater on very cold days or just a shirt on milder days.

"I ordered down one size, based on reviews, and the medium fit fairly well. It was a bit snug across the chest. The interior moleskin lining is superb. The weight is what you would expect of an outdoor vest. The finish of the leather was, unfortunately, most disappointing. It looked and felt like a wet, slick synthetic. Too bad."

"however, it did not fit me and I have to send it back, sadly. I am a 3X woman, so took a chance on your XXl fitting when I read reviews that it was large for its size.
However, it was too small. Also the shoulders stand up in a straight line, so gives me an almost military look.

"I've been eyeing this vest for four or five years now, and finally broke down and bought it. Wow! The leather is soft, supple and beautiful. The vest is substantial and great looking. It is cut long. I agree with others: it does run large. I'm 5'10' tall/175 lbs. I normally wear a medium, but ordered a small, and it fits perfect and trim (unless you were planning on wearing this over a heavy jacket).
Love it! Wish I would have bought it a few years ago!"

"This is without doubt one of the finest pieces of clothing I have ever ordered from Orvis. The quality of the leather is great and supple and so well put together. The vest has a beautiful lining and great stitching especially around the hem of the garment which will help prevent sagging. Styling is great and the vest sits well and looks great. "Initially I was disappointed when I saw that the color of the leather was darker than on the illustration I saw on-line.....The cut is ample so although I usually wear extra large I had to return the vest and request the large size...as always the quality of materials is unquestionably top notch but I can't get it to hang on my body as attractively as the illustration appears..It lays too flat on my body for my taste's and won't stay open at the collar..Maybe I've just got to wear it a little but The Jury's still out."
