"Really like these trunks. Soft, comfortable and fit great. I personally like the adjustable waist band slide which allows you to easily and securely adjust the waist. I can understand that if you have a gut it might annoy you to the point of cutting it off and tying it."

"Ordered two swim trunks in size M (my usual size for Orvis trunks). These two were marked M, but they are clearly L. (And pretty useless for swimming.) Unless this is unadvertised "vanity sizing", there is clearly a problem with the label"

"These swim shorts are of a good quality and feel comfortable on. My only issue is with the cut of the legs which is fairly generous to say the least. A little less baggy in the legs and they would be perfect. A good buy none the less for beach, swimming or general leisure wear."

"Tie up is inside waist band and is uncomfortable and inefective, tie up pin allows rope to loosen and shorts fall down and not suitable in water."

"Good, heavy material ought to last for a long time. I IMMEDIATELY cut the drawstring in half and pulled off the silly toggle thing, tied a knot in each end, ensuring that secure fit. The zip on the rear pocket REALLY needs a tab pull; I added one fabbed from an old leather boot lace."

"i live in florida, buying a swim suit is real easy here. of all the suits i have purchased, i always wondered why there are never any pockets, or only one not so easy access pocket. you suit has three pockets, and the rear one has a zipper. great suit, and very comfortable, thanks Orvis, rick....."

"I have these trunks in both navy and red. Bought size M both times since size L was too large (I have a 36-in. waist). They're quite comfortable and seem to dry quickly. The red pair is very bright, the blue pair is more of a medium blue than navy. So far, the blue color has held up to chlorinated pools and hot tubs without any noticeable discoloration or fading. I haven't tested the red pair yet."
