A Doc Thompson fly designed for heavier, choppier water that would sink and drown most any other fly. Very durable and buoyant. Doc's made a great name for himself in the southwest and he's spent years fishing these waters and figuring out patterns to solve specific problems. The Super Caddis and his Doc's Cork Stonefly are two perfect examples. Sizes: 14

"I fished with Doc on the Cimarron in the last week of July 2009. The only other time on the Cimarron was private water, without Doc, with little or no flow in a drought. We struggled with fly selection in the still water but this time had good flow on different private water and Doc obviously knew the conditions and provided this fly which produced all day. I am not a seasoned fly fisherman and have a lot to learn so take comments accordingly. I caught 7 browns in the first 45 minutes with this fly and then the pace slowed but continued all day. I used the same fly all day and landed approximately 15 fish."
