Walker's Pig Whistle

Walker's Pig Whistle is a large streamer pattern designed to do what few others do. There are a lot of big streamers out there these days but most of them are either too light to get deep or too heavy to cast with a trout rod. Using a lot of split shot will get them down but kills a lot of the action. The Pig Whistle has a big underwater presence and gets deep quick without split shot. Its undulating, pulsing, swimming action draws strikes from big predators. This streamer is especially effective during high water or in deep, fast water and was intended to catch large trout in rivers with heavy current, but is also effective in shallower water and in still water as well. The Pig Whistle is a go-to pattern because it has a big underwater presence and unbeatable action combined with a fast sink rate and easier casting. Try fishing this fly in fast, bouldery runs and riffles with jerky, erratic strips. Strip it fast and let it hang in the small pockets. Size 2.

Big flies for big fish.,

"I angle for Bass and other worthy freshwater specimens of American gamefish. These flies are well made and the articulation point looks reliable. I plan on making use of these superb ARTICULATED streamer flies in pursuit of large smallmouth bass and the occasional largemouth. I'm sure this can also trick catfish so I plan on using a solid 8 weight or better yet a 9 for optimum casting performance."

"The movement obtained on this fly is unbeatable. It has a sexy twitch and hop movement that no fish will resist."
