Not For Me...,

"To begin with, I am a big Orvis fan and have shopped online and in their stores for years. This jacket really caught my eye online but when it arrived, I was disappointed upon first sight. The color and texture... well let me put it this way... the color looked artificial and the texture was much more grainy than the picture revealed. I thought the jacket would have a rich golden brown color and a somewhat smooth appearance, judging by the photo. In reality, it looked more like a painted vinyl "leather grain" sofa, to be blunt about it... and I hate to say this to Orvis! Anyway, perhaps it's the "Bison" look that I am not accustomed to. I'm certainly no expert in leathers. The jacket may be terrific for those who know better than I."

Upper plain jacket,

"Very attractive, heavy duty leather. I exchanged for a new one because just out of the box, a cuff snap broke. Should not happen on a coat this pricey. Orvis folks great and agreed to an exchange. We'll see how it goes long-term."
