Trimmed with genuine leather, it features a full metal zip with a snap-front closure, two convenient handwarmer pockets, and two lower bellows pockets with snap-flap closures. One interior pocket. "It's a great, warmer-than-you-think vest. I very much like the styling.
The first one I had had a bad snap on a pocket. The snap just broke off for no apparent reason. But, luckily, Orvis took the old one and sent a replacement right to my door.
Good products are nice, but service makes all the difference."

"I have purchased many items from Orvis before. This item was not in stock at my local store, so I had to special order it. The XXL size fits me about the same as other vests that are sized XL. About 1 size smaller than expected."

"Well, I ordered my husband four different vests for holiday. All four arrived and he opened each of them on Christmas morning. Needless to say, the Orvis vest was the only one that lived up to each of his expectations plus! He has worn it everyday since. We will certainly make Orvis a favorite on our computer from now on!"

"I would say, its a unique vest. Simple and rugged. Soft and not too thick just right for somewhere in the 50's weather. But its not that too attractive either thats why I only gave it 4 stars."

"Overall a nice vest. Just the thing for everyday wear in the northwest. Only problem was the size. Ordered a large since I wear a 43, however the large was a tight fit and had to be exchanged for an extra large."

"I agree about all the quality of the vest...and the Orvis Fan loves it. However, we had to go up a size. I grant you he's not a small man, but we have lot of other Orvis stuff that fits correctly first time. I am a little surprised that every else seems to find it okay. Maybe I need to measure him.
I also might try washing it. I don't see why it should be dry-clean only."

"Not enough substance for my intended purpose, such as trailblazing through the woods with the dogs. The product I received had a snap that was torn from the fabric. Never wore it, returned it to a nearby Orvis outlet. I ordered this vest from within the Orvis store. I'm glad I didn't pay for shipping or else I would've been double upset."

"I purchased this vest on a trip to Boston and it is very nice. However, I made the mistake of banking on Orvis quality and I threw out the receipt. After 2 weeks a snap fell off and customer service will not accept a return/repair without a receipt, only a gift card is offered. This is a great vest, the material and stitching are very sturdy. A fluke button and a lack of understanding are why this vest gets 2 stars from me. I hope the buttons on your vest hold up better than mine did, and keep your receipt."

"It is a great vest. Looks good and has nice detail. The sizing runs small. I normally wear an xl to a xxl. I ordered the xxl and it was too small. In an orvis coat, I usually wear an xl. I will have to return it, which is a shame, since it is such a nice looking vest."
