"I have been looking for a warm sweater like those worn by British fighter pilots in WWII. Hard to find -- especially in what would appear to be high quality. I found it in this sweater, which has quickly become a favorite. Excellent fit. And Orvis was great in delivery. I ordered one and realized it would come while I was on vacation. Orvis was easy to deal with in cancelling that order and placing an order for future delivery. It came when promised. Good company with which to do business."

"Let me start by saying this is one great sweater! It fits perfectly and looks great by itself or with a jacket. The lambs wool it's made from is incredibly soft and does not feel scratchy at all. Another fantastic product from Orvis!"

"A while back I bought a RAF white turtle neck. It was all I expected, BUT when I saw the Orvis sweater, at half the price I ordered it. Waited for the new inventory to come in and it's even better than I expected. Looks great under a blazer, sport-coat or a dark suit. Time to dig out the catalog and see if the other color-ways are available."

"I have always wanted this sweater, since seeing it in 'Battle of Britain' as a young boy. It is as functional as it is timeless and good looking and can be dressed up, down, for cool days, cold days, and looks especially grand with the kilt. I will have to get another for fear I may wear this one out in about 10 years."

"This sweater would look good with a pair of dress slacks, as well as with jeans. It feels warm and not scratchy like many wool products. It is a fine representation of the classic RAF sweater seen worn by the Battle of Britain pilots."
