Fit and First Impression,
August 20, 2013
"I wear a 44R and a 16.5-17" collar. I'm a broader guy. I have found that most duck hunting gear is made for those portly slack-jawed yahoos on the duck hunting shows, but this jacket is an exception, probably owing to it's Italian design. The fit is European. I went for a size L, and it is just right on the money, if not just a tad tight around the shoulders with appropriate gear underneath.
I like that it lacks gimmicky garbage like shell dispensers, superfluous pockets, zip-in liners and other gizmos that don't serve any good purpose in the field.
The hood fits great, with good visibility and articulation.
I would put it's length somewhere between a parka and a wading type jacket.
I struggled to find out how this jacket fit before ordering it, there you have it."
"Bought for hunting pheasants in SD and Kansas. Really has a unique new pattern and fits well. I am 6'1' and 180 and have problems with most coats being made too big for skinny guys. This is slightly big but is really a nice item and not so big it doesnt fit reasonably well. Really like it. Will try in field next year, i hope. only reason i want rate it a 5 star is i haven't tried in the field yet."
