"I ordered 2 of the same sweaters - one black and one teal. The black sweater is great. The teal sweater's sleeves were 2" shorter than the the black one. I have sisnce returned the sweater, but have yet to receive notification that a new sweater is on the way (it has been a week since I called customer service)."

"I love the color, weight and shape of this sweater. Only problem was that the first time I wore it, it shed little pills of red yarn all over the tee shirt I wore under it.
Just hand washed it and there are a few pills still on the sweater, but hopefully most of the problem is solved."

"I ordered this sweater thinking the knit was going to be the same type as another Orvis sweater I purchased at least 2 years ago and wear a lot. Unfortunately this sweater is quite different and started to shed all over everything and started to pill under the arms by the end of the first day I wore it. Fit and color were great but unfortunately I am going to have to return it."

"I am delighted with this sweater. I liked it so much I ordered another one in a different color immediately. I did turn it wrong side out and ran a sticky roller over it to remove the lint before I wore it. Very comfortable and hangs nicely."

"This sweater has always been my go to. First purchase was in 07' and loved it so much ordered more colors. As of late though the sweaters have gotten thinner, sleeves shorter(gave 2 away)and the v neck sloppy. I'm sorry to see this happen. I still wear the original, but will order a different style from Orvis. Always enjoyed clothes from Orvis. Thankyou"

"Here in Texas our opportunities for wearing sweaters are few. Having this in mind, I am careful when spending money on a sweater. I love the shape of this sweater, and that it is made of cotton. Overall, I was so pleased with my first sweater, that I purchased another one in red. Absolutely love it!"

"Lovely sweater, beautiful color. Wore for few minutes and noticed sweater fuzz all over my pants. Had to return. Washing instructions said hand wash and dry flat. Thick sweater, so it would be high maintenance. Not worth the effort."

"I order a small usually, even though I'm a UK size 12 and find when I do that everything fits really well with room to move and not tight. The sweater is a lovely shade of teal and is a good length, not too short and has a good shape. I've washed it and it has come up beautifully.
I would suggest that the instructions for drying flat are followed though as I didn't do this with another product of about the same weight and the sleeves went a bit long. So don't do that - I turn the sleeves up, but now I've learnt my lesson. Dry flat!"

"Having purchased other similar sweaters from Orvis, but not always having liked the colors, I ordered this one in black. It fits well, and is comfortable and soft. Caution: when trying it on, be aware that it "sheds" severely; be certain to wash it thoroughly before wearing it, or the layers beneath will become full of shed yarn. The sweater washed well, however, and I hope that future "shedding" will diminish."

"I had purchaased a similar sweater at the local Orvis store. It was perfect for the weather. They did not have additional color I wanted, but I ordered it on line. It fits perfect and keeps me warm in the colder weather"

"I have always wanted this particular sweater. My husband gave it to me as a gift. The sweater is great, looks good, comfortable, but it leaves a huge amount of red lint on the T shirt I wear under it. I am very disappointed with this. Fix this issue and nothing else is wrong."
