Blue Quill

An early season mayfly, the Paraleptophlebia comes off after the water temperature rises above 50 degrees and stays there for a few days. This is generally the first mayfly hatch of the season, followed by the Quill Gordons and then the Hendricksons. These small dry flies are fished with light tippets. The Blue Quill offers you the first action of late winter and early spring for trout. Color, Natural.Dry fly in sizes: 14, 16, 18.

"A great fly for picky trout, especially when they're taking tiny hatches."
