"I probably lose a pair of these once or twice a year, and I always go back to buy more. I feel naked on the river without them!"

Awesome,

"Plenty of grip. No slippage. Grabs the smallest of hooks with no problem. A must buy. No more dollar bin fly shop hemostats for me. These are keepers."
"I agree with all the other reviews. These are the best I've found. They have great features for multiple uses. I prefer the black version because they have rubber coated handles that make hadling these with one hand a whole lot easier when you have a fish in the other hand."
"I absolutely love these forceps. They open and close with ease. They also have an excellent lock feature that allows you to clamp it anywhere on you. (sleeve, collar, or even clamp it on your bag.) I bought a friend these for a gift and he thinks highly of them as well"

Great Forceps,

"These are the best forceps I have found. Excellent for debarbing hooks and general use on the stream. The power jaw and combination smooth and serrated surfaces on the tips are very handy."
"I ordered two in black, both worked perfectly. Good balance, good grip. Next time I will order a gold one. The black would be hard to spot if dropped into the drink."

Nice tool.,

"I bought the silver forceps so I could see them better if dropped in the water or on the grass. I also bought the ergonomic snips so the forceps would just be used for crimping jobs.
It's a good size and I especially like the hook barb crimper on the handles. That gives it good crimping power and the placement makes it easier to work with the hook."

A Nice Firm Grip,

"Got these in black; they appeared and are heftier. Enough mass is there to put the "pow" in the power. I also liked how short they were, allowing for easier aiming down a gullet. I'd get 'em!"

"I would have to agree that they are a bit hard to use. The don't open that smoothly and the pin that is used to help clear your eye on the hook broke on the second time I used it."
"After destroying several pair of forceps attaching bb size shot to my line, I stepped up to the Power Jaw. They crush shot with little effort so the jaws don't get destroyed. These will easily make the cut in my bag every time.
A note: The jaws are a bit big for tiny hooks (size 20+)..."

Great Device,
September 30, 2011
By: HTMurphy
from Atlanta, ga.
"Having a hemostat with an excellent 'barb clip/remover' really saves having to carry an extra clip. Not to mention having a 'lock' that can be clipped to a shirt lapel, or anywhere. Just a great device. I purchased the silver/gold one which is easily seen if it drops into most waters. Thanks."
"This is a great item. It is small but sturdy and is good for smaller fish where larger pliers are too bulky."

"I have used the black style forceps for the past three years or so and have found them to be very useful. They are well built, easy to grip, and stay locked in place. Best forceps I have found."

"This is a nice pair of forceps. The build quality is good...and the coated handles on the black model is nice. Only gripe is that they are a bit tough to open one-handed; I can do it, but it could be a little easier. Perhaps this will loosen up with time."
"These are by far my favorite pliers/forceps. I always carry one on me and one in the car in case I lose one. Black is the best since it has the rubber coating around the handle. You can buy cheaper pliers/forceps elsewhere, but these are worth every penny."

Why change ?,
September 29, 2008
By: MDog
from Coastal Georgia
"I bought a pair of black one several years ago and they were great. I lost them, I thought I would try the stainless ones (mostly fish saltwater) They have redesigned them they are so hard to open them they hurt my thumb. They are lighter weight and jaws are longer and not as rigid. Why do you have to change a good product?"
