Soft and warm, this plush, fleece vest for men zips in to many Barbour outerwear styles to add extra comfort on cold, blustery days. "Zips in easily inside of jacket, but adds too much bulk to the Barbour jacket when installed. Barbour makes a quilted less bulky liner that works better when worn over a sweater during colder weather."

"The Beaufort Jacket has become a lighter coat over the years due to the use of lighter oiled cotton. The pile liner is now required to complete the jacket and make it functional. The added weight, though minimal, makes the jacket feel more substantial and allows it's use as a field style coat versus an oiled windbreaker. It's a good fit."

"I love the jacket. But NOT the liner ---doesn't zip fully in. as a result i often stick my hand between the jacket and liner instead of through both. liner is a bit floppy as well b/c not secured well at the top.
still love the jacket but would pass on the liner"

"I received a Barbour jacket as a gift, and liked it immensely, but the additional gift of a liner (from Orvis) for the jacket (as well as a hood) makes for very comfortable outings with temperatures in the 20's and 30's. It is snug, windproof, and dry. Best outdoor wear I've had."

"I was quite disappointed that Barbour would use such cheap material for a liner, especially given its cost. The outside of it feels like a burlap sack. I would expect the liner to be made of wool or to be of a higher quality synthetic."

"I just bought this liner for my son's coat and it fits perfectly. Definitely makes the Fall coat a Winter coat - in a style all the Southern guys like. Last one I bought was 20 years ago and I still use it in my old Barbour. Classics survive because of form and function."
