"I really like to use the cd puffs for the smaller emergers, especially in white and dun-colored. Although cdc is really a "1" trout material in my opinion, it does have a purpose for movement in the water and of course you can do a few false casts to dry it off or use frogs fanny to dry it. I prefer snowshoe rabbit feet fur hands down but the cdc does "lifen" up a fly. Either way, these are just the right size for what I use on my emergers and dries. Give it a try and make sure to post up the cdc so it works as a parachute as well and it will be easier to see in the water!!"
