Best piece of cold weather gear ever purchased,
February 13, 2014
from Columbia, SC
"I gave it a test run yesterday during our snow/ sleet/ freezing rain winter storm, by going for a 2 mile walk while it was all coming down. Jacket was fabulous. Kept me warm and dry. I love the light weight and soft feel of the jacket. It's well worth the money."

One Hearty & Handsome Field Jacket,
December 27, 2013
from Colorado Springs, CO
"I recieved this jacket a little over 3 weeks ago and find it outstanding! This is after looking & sampling various jackets for 2 years. After putting it through the paces in the Colorado Front Range, I'm happy to report the following: It has a handsome, tough construction & is light for its material; it appears durable, only time will tell; pockets the right size and where you need them; long sleeves and roomy shoulders that give a good fit through all range of motion; it seems to be cut for men with a bit larger barrel than my athletic build but still isn't drafty and has a shock cord cinch at the bottom; its comparably thin interior insulation makes it deceivingly warm; the hood is a 2- layered design that cinches down comfortably without irritation or blocking peripheral view and is the warmest; I've only had it out in light/moderate rain and heavy snow and can say it has great breathability, repels water and dries fast once indoors. To top it off with, it is comfortable! The only negative thing i can say is that one of the buttons was not assembled right and fell off right out of the box- not a good first impression but it came with a spare that popped on sturdy in a minute, so no big deal. And it'd be great if they made these in a light brown or tan. That said, I'll close with this: I'm a tough, picky & demanding retired veteran (US Army Special Forces, 22 years) with most of that career spent in the mountains and have assessed plenty of apparel and gear. It's an expensive jacket, but worth it."

Review 3 for The Boar Hunting Jacket
Looked for this a long time,
October 11, 2013
from New York
"I'm a photographer and have been looking for a hard wear jacket that I could use to handle spare lenses in the lower pockets and notebooks and accessories in the upper. This is the one.
There's plenty of room in the bellows pockets for the lenses, even the large pocket in the back for a large telephoto lens. The upper pockets are more than adequate for what I want.
The only other jackets out there are military tactical jackets which are so decked out with MOLLE straps that they would look funny walking through a city with a camera. This one is perfect as it's understated but still cool.
The money is worth it just for the breathable liner alone, let alone the fine craftsmanship with which this jacket is made. Highly recommended for any outdoors use where you need wickable material with carrying ability."

Review 4 for The Boar Hunting Jacket
Fantastic photo jacket,
October 10, 2013
from New York
"I'm a photographer and am using this jacket in the field. I wanted large pockets to be able to put spare lenses into the large front pockets and all my note taking stuff, pens and notebooks into the upper pockets in the front. There is a large pocket in the back then to carry game, but I am using this to carry a large telephoto lens.
I have been looking for a jacket like this for about a year without success. The only jackets that do what I want are tactical military jackets which are frankly too be useful to me.
The waterproof lining is a wonderful plus, especially as I tend to shoot in bad weather. It is large enough to wear a sweater underneath without problems and is very flexible at the shoulders and arms.
I am glad to have spent $550 on this jacket, as I'm paying for the wonderful workmanship and also the waterproof membrane. I would gladly pay again to get a jacket of this quality.
I highly recommend it to anyone who will spend time in the field whether hunting or shooting for photography. Frankly, I think it should be advertised as a photographer's jacket, not just a hunting jacket."
"quite functional and well made except as noted. this is a cold weather jacket intended for hunting and rugged outdoor use. the main zipper should be heavy duty rather then the type used. its difficult to get zipped up with frozen hands in the dark, or light for that matter. should have use a YKK zipper or similar."
"bought a similar jacket with detachable hood and inner vest. plenty of zippered pockets including a game pocket in the rear. quite warm and the vest can be removed for more temperate weather. only reason it didn't rate a fifth star was because the zipper, while good, was not heavy duty and somewhat testy with cold hands. still all in all a first rate cold weather jacket."
