high hopes dashed again,
April 22, 2013
from Rotterdam, NY
"Lovely Barbour quality but not up to previous stndard. Brass snaps are now plastic, there's a credit-card sized advertisement sewn on the chest pocket, and the conversion to american size went awry. I wear an American Suit L/Long or XL. Ordered the Black Streak in XXL and it fit like my kids jacket. At least 2 sizes, maybe 3 undersized."

Cool looking jacket but overpriced,
December 29, 2012
"I am 5'10" with a 38" chest measurement and the medium fitted very well, including arm length. The jacket looks similar to my 30+ year old Belstaff Trialmaster but without the 'badges of honor'. The color is true to the picture on the website. This is a very cool looking jacket albeit very overpriced compared to the standard International especially as I found that it was made in Tunisia, rather than England. The jacket is well made and finished but I was disappointed to find that it was not possible to fit a Barbour thermal liner as there were no attachment points, either zips or studs."

Better than the picture,

"Excellent quality jacket, and MUCH nicer than your typical $300 similarly-styled jacket. Darker in color than the photo suggests, but still features a great "worn-in" finish. Fit is true to size - I wear a 48R sport coat, and the XXL gave me enough room for modest layering, but it looks great with just a t-shirt underneath, too. My only suggestion would be that the belt could be a bit longer, and an additional 2 belt loops towards the front of the jacket would be nice for days when I choose to wear it open. In such cases, I secure the belt in back by fastening it back upon itself currently, so that it doesn't constantly flap around behind me. Overall, a great addition to any rugged guy's fall wardrobe."
