"Had it less than a week and already worn it twice. Fabic weight is great. Quality is impeccable.
However, I am a petite woman and can understand that the sleeves may be to short for taller woman. I always have to roll sleeves up, even in petite sizes, so average size women may want to heed prior reviews regarding sleeve length.

Clearly, my arms must be longer than the average bear, because the arms of this sweater are closer to 3/4 length than full length on me."

"The sleeves are shorter then I like them to be - they barely reach my wrists and I don't have unusually long arms. If I tried this on in the store I would not have bought it for that reason so that's why I'm mentioning it. I guess that's the hard thing about buying stuff on line."

"Tried to buy something for my mother that she would like, and turns out she absolutely loves this turtleneck! The cotton is very nice and thick, but not too thick that it's bulky. Great for keeping warm. Would definitely buy this again."

"Nice material, good weight, comfortable, love it-just wish the sleeves were about an inch longer. The neck seems odd too, I don't like it when the seam shows. I needed something olive to go w/my suit (but will keep looking). The colors are beautiful & I wish I could get more but as I said, the sleeves on me are weird and my arm length is standard! Have not laundered it yet. Never have this problem so what it up w/that?"

"After wearing and laundering (gentle cycle/air dried flat), I am so pleased. The fit and colors (Olive, Rosewood and Chestnut) are great. If you're debating between this and the Mock-Neck, go with the Heathered."

"This is my all-time favorite Orvis winter wardrobe staple. And it has been for a decade.. They weren't available in the last two years...I am sooo glad they are back! I have this cotton ribbed turtleneck in various colors and sizes (I got smaller, the sweater didn't...i got bigger, the sweater didn't...lol!) Why do I love this turtleneck so? It is figure-flattering without being clingy. It keeps its shape. It is soft and warm without being stifling. You can dress it up (pearls), dress it down (plain). It goes with a nice skirt and/or jeans. If you treat them with care (I do) and wash them in cold water then air dry them, they last for years. I would never, ever be without my Orvis cotton turtleneck sweaters. Please bring it back in basic black, it is quite elegant! But I wouldn't mind it in mustard or lime or fuschia for some dark winter days, either! Now don't be naughty and leave this classic out of your catalogue again, Orvis, I'm counting on you for years to come!"

"I bought this sweater for myself on my birthday three weeks ago. It is even better than I'd hoped. Very comfortable (I love turtlenecks), warm and it keeps it's shape. I've washed it twice (in the washing machine with other clothes) and it comes out perfectly, the color and shape are like new and there are no wrinkles. This is a comfortable, good looking easy care sweater. I want to wear it every day. I love it."

"Bought this sweater for the olive green color which I love but cannot often find in women's clothing. I like that it is only "slightly stretchy" (too much Lycra ruins these types of sweaters). Without being bulky, the sweater is weighty enough that it doesn't cling but skims the body for a tailored, classic look."

"I have bought the plain cotton turtle neck jumpers for years and they are great. The sleeves are a bit short on this one, although I like the autumny/winter colours. There is a huge jump in price though and I will be making mine last a lot longer as a result."
