"This bedspread is great. Perfect weight for Florida. I did purchase the king sized spread for a queen bed as i could tell by the measurements that the queen spread would be too short. Washed the king spread in hot water prior to use and it is close to a perfect fit....maybe 2" too long on the sides. No problems with washing and drying....came out ready to put on the bed. Would definitely purchase again."

"The product looks and feels fabulous. Only one problem, 2 of the 4 buttons on one of the shams came off during a gentle pre-use hand wash cycle in my washer!! Many of the other sham buttons were loose and threaded ends were not knotted properly. I ended up re-sewing all eight buttons on the two shams that I ordered."

"Was looking for the perfect summer bedspread and this is it! Recently painted our bedroom greige, and the taupe color looks great. The fabric is light for summer, but not flimsy. Looks cool and crisp. Should be perfect with a cotton summer blanket. The becspread is also nice and long. Our queen size box spring is pretty high with a 17" drop, and this falls about an inch off the floor on either side. Nice!"

"I really enjoy the enlarged seersucker pattern. It has a nice light weight but I ended it up making it into a duvet cover because I like a comforter even in the summer. Good quality. I can tell I'm going to have it for years."

"It's true that the color photograph makes the yellow appear brighter than it is. Think "butterscotch" instead of "butter." But the fabric is great--true seersucker, substantial but lightweight. And it's sewn very nicely."

"The king sized spread I ordered was seamed together from 3 pieces of fabric joined at the blue stripes. At one seam the joined stripe was the same width as the other stripes. At the other seam, the stripe was noticeably wider than the other blue stripes. I exchanged this spread for another. The replacement spread had the same defect. I did not try for a 3rd spread. Poor QC by the vendor."

"Of course, Orvis products are usually a no brainer, but we were surprised at how nice this item is and how it complimented the decor in our bedroom. The room is done in blues and yellows and we have tried several bedspreads (not Orvis). A king size bed is the largest thing in the room and must be right. This stripe and seersucker texture was just what the room needed. We love it!"

"Based on the picture and the blurb, I ordered what I thought was a plae (butter) yellow spread. NOT. Perhaps antique gold, or old mustard. Maybe the blurb was written from the picture as it couldn't have been written by anyone seeing the item or having seen butter (think buttercup). Sorry, but I was very disapointed."

"Love the color and weight of this bedspread. Only fault I see is it should have come down a foot longer on each side. It covers your bed like a coverlet on the sides. Be sure you have a bed skirt or you wont like the look. But I still love it for warm weather."

"I was so excited to find and receive the Summer Stripe Seersucker Bedspread. It arrived in short order and just as advertised. The Butter color is a nice summery color. Nice wide hems all the way around. It would have been great for a lightweight summer spread for hot Kansas nights. Size was good for my king bed. Dropped it in the wash prior to putting on the bed and when I removed it from the washer there were two frayed holes in the middle of the spread. This is going right back and so is the second one(pastel stripe) I ordered just in case the color of the first one was wrong. IMHO the spread should be able to withstand more than one wash! I did not reorder/replace because if it cant tolerate one wash what would it look like at the end of a summer of washing. And at that price it should be around for many seasons. This maybe deserves more than one star for all the positives that I listed above but for me the poor quality really wrecked what could have been a great four to five star purchase. The Orvis team has been really responsive and easy to work with so the Customer Service does deserve five stars."
