"These shorts were comfortable and sizing is generous. They seem to be durable and definitely do wash well, retaining their shape, texture, and color. There are ample pockets for my needs, and they are deep enough that I do not have to worry about things falling out when I sit. I liked mine so much that I ordered another pair as a back-up!"

"I don't usually buy clothes online, because they often have quirks that are less than ideal. I should have done the same here.
I found that the elastic waist had very little give, making them tight to get on. Buying a bigger size would have resulted in bagginess that would be excessive. Once the elastic tightens, there's little need for the belt to cinch up. A zipper closure would be better for this pair of shorts.
Other Orvis clothing I have owned have always been durable and well-made. These shorts may be around longer than I would want."

"Bought the Khaki color in Tennessee and had to order another pair in Navy. Nice fit, sturdy construction, nice weight for summer. Casual but also nice for an evening out."

"The cotton material, the roomy fit and the high-grade finish of these summer shorts are exactly as detailed in the catalog (and online). Also, the deep, rich look of the brown color I bought is a welcome surprise. Suggestion: As these shorts are for active wear, they'd benefit from a crotch gusset."
