World's Coolest® Patch Shirt
The word patch, short for the Telug patch'chardamu, meaning "thin pieces of cloth at Madras," has been in use for more than 300 years to describe the lightweight patch madras used in one of the world's hottest climates. Our famous World's Coolest® Patch Shirt is made of squares of pure 3.5-oz. cotton Indian madras that are stitched into a muted multipatch design. The cloth of this warm weather shirt features an open weave to allow plenty of ventilation. From the cloth to the cut, this shirt is designed for warm-weather wear. Button-through chest pocket. Washable. Imported. Sizes: S(34-36), M(38-40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), XXL(50-52).

"Great looking shirt that looks good with jeans or khaki slacks and very good with shorts. Very soft and feels cool to the body in hot weather. Washed it and short time in dryer then hanged damp to dry. Type of shirt that looks good slightly wrinkled. Many were asking where I got the shirt and commented how nice it looked. GO FOR IT!"

"I bought the precursor to this patchwork shirt on sale at an Orvis outlet two years ago, and it quickly became my go-to shirt for the summer. And the next summer. It was comfortable, light, obviously well-made, and colorful in a discreet way. I wore it out. This year I replaced it with the new model, which is slightly brighter in color. I happily paid full price for it and will no doubt buy another one in two years."

Wrong Sizes - The small is actually a Large,

"In this shirt the Size Medium has a chest and bottom hem measurement of 48", The Size Small has a chest and bottom hem measurement of 44".
The Orvis Size Chart tab online says a 48" chest is an Extra Large and the 44" chest is a Large.
Orvis doesn't even label this shirt to reflect its own standards for sizing which says a Medium would be 38-40 inches. Since the size small in this shirt is 44 inches customers cannot buy a size which will fit someone who takes a Medium even if the order a small."

"Seems to be a nice shirt so I bought a medium. The shirt was huge! I matched more of the measurements in your medium catagory then in the small catagory however if I received a medium, a small would probably be too large as well."

"My brother Gordon died last week and he was a beautiful fly fisherman who taught me his skill. This was his favorite shirt and he gave me one that was too big so I later ordered the Large size instead of the XL which is fine. This shirt tends to run larger than you think so you have to be cautious. I am a 44 Long normally."
