"I loved the look of this sweater when I saw it in the catalog and when I received it. However, the sizing was off on the small. I asked customer service for the chest measurements and they said it was 19 inches across (or 38 total); in fact, it was 22 inches across and too big for me. Also, the seams on the inside of the sleeves had a lot of threads sticking out and I worried about the long-term wear of this piece. I had to return it."

"My husband purchased the Boucle' Color Block Cardigan SI6693 as a birthday gift for me back in October. I followed the directions and washed it before wearing. As a result, it lost its body, length, and general shape. I have always loved the Orvis sweater collections and have purchased several, but this one is a real 'loser.'. In contrast, the black sweater with red/pink polka dots has been a joy to wear, and several years ago I had a black cardigan with allover flowers that never failed to draw compliments."

"I loved this sweater in the photo. I really needed a sweater to wear with my black & gray tweed slacks. It works but the quality is disappointing...the finishing is not good. There were threads hanging out in several places. I took a crochet hook and pulled them to the backside. The placket on which the buttons are sewn is almost a raw edge at the top - some slight overcasting to finish it off. The fabric is loosely woven and very stretchy....but it is very attractive and I will be keeping it. Would I buy it again? NO."

"This is a pretty nice sweater. I was hoping for something more like a jacket and substantial, rather than this which has a soft, rather loose weave. It did not look good on me but probably would suit others."

"I don't usually buy expensive sweaters for myself, but I needed a nicer sweater for special occasions and this is it! It's exactly what I was hoping for, and it fits to perfection. Usually Small is too small or not small enough but this is an unusually good fit. Very happy! (I haven't worn it yet so can't confirm the stretchy buttonholes comments)."

"This sweater appears to be of higher quality than it actually is. The buttonholes stretch, the sleeves end in a heavy, different fabric that detracts from the knit of the sleeves, and the different fabric is not evident from the picture nor description. I doubt that this sweater will endure more than one season of wear without showing age."
