"The devil is in the details. Maybe I'm too picky, given the overall high quality of the shirt, but the (many) white buttons against the dark tartan of the fabric produced a what I saw as a "clown-costume" effect. Since I wasn't prepared to replace all the buttons myself or pay someone else to do so, I had to return it.
(I said I would recommend the shirt because of its tailoring quality, and the fact that some people probably wouldn't take exception to the white buttons.)"

"It is soft and truly wrinkle free as the description says. But to appreciate it you need to see and feel it. I will try to put a close up photo but still won't do it justice. The colors are vivid and that special twill gives it a beautiful sheen. I get compliments on it constantly."

"I've been buying check shirts for a while and decided that Orvis are just about the best around in terms of quality and price. This one has a slightly Christmassy feel to it with the green and red threads subtly running through. Please not that it's a light weight shirt rather than an outdoor lumber jack job. If you're a UK buyer, I would suggest that you drop a size as the cut is very generous."
