"I have these same slippers on my feet as I write this..a very old pair. I have never particularly liked the looks of these but they are so comfortable I decided to order new ones. The new ones arrived yesterday, today I am sending them back along with another pair (which are sooooo cute). The fit for both slippers is disappointing. The heel is too narrow and my ankle keeps going over as I tried them on. The others (the "cute" ones) are too wide. I am sorry Orvis, I usually Love all your merchandise, style and quality. Has your supplier changed?"

"Hands down, the best slippers! Soft and comfortable. You'll never want to take them off. They start off a little snug but it doesn't take long for them to open up. You want them snug at first so they fit your feet. Has a good sole so that your feet do not get cold on floor but can be used outside for a minute if necessary. Best slippers in the world!"

"I have an old pair of shearling slippers which I can take to the shoe repair because the sole is leather. It can be stitched. This archival pair has superseded two brand new pairs of such slippers. Also I needed a 9 1/2. Thanks. With the pricey shipping, the bill was very high and these were not perfect (enough for the price), though nice and furry."

"I replaced a pair of similar slippers that I ordered from another company that were "unisex". These slippers are just as warm and cozy as the old ones but I don't look like my husband when I wear them! The rubber soles make it possible to step outside for the paper without worry. Order 1/2 size up and you'll look and feel great!"

"After 25 years of 2 pr. Shearling slippers no longer in your catalog, I ordered these to replace the old ones.
After just a few months, my toes went through the tops of both slippers. However, they were very warm but soles weren't as good as my 25 yr. old standbys. Now you are OOS and I can't get a replacement. Why can't you get a substitute, not a mule, in the same quality as the old ones which had good outdoor soles and rolled up too for the warmth. Seniors like me need these factors so we don't trip. (mules) I loved the old ones and they lasted forever. I even washed them successfully. I will give you one star for wamth for the new ones and will be returning them so you can see the lack of wear and the holes.."
