Delightfully Cool,
August 5, 2013

"Super for hot days! Ordered this blouse because lightweight with 3/4 sleeves. Originally ordered in L (my usual size), had to return for Extra Large as was a bit binding around my upper back--no give. The EL more than enough room. Easy to tuck into capris/slacks. Extra nice weight for hot summer day--can see bra in back (thin material) but not in front because of cross stripes..."

Expensive Flimsy Wear,
June 7, 2012

"I was extremely disappointed when I tried on the $75.00 shirt. I was expecting the former quality of Orvis clothing that I had admired in the past when shopping in a retail store. I was anxious to add this shirt to my wardrobe. Prior to purchasing the shirt I reviewed the catalog. I carefully examined the slimming lines, liked the mixed-stripe design and V-neckline. When I put on the shirt it felt thin to the touch; I was expecting a more substantial weight. When I viewed myself in the mirror I immediately decided to return it to Orvis. While writing this review I pulled out my records of catalog purchases from Orvis and reread the description as "lightweight" (it certainly is) and color "royal blue". I believe a more accurate color description is "powder blue".
Unfortunately for Orvis, I also reviewed other purchases made in July of 2011 World's Most Asymetrical Tee (9R0X-2853) and June of 2010 Ribbed Cotton Tie-Ring Top (1Y4X-1154) & Lace Insert Henley (0C0K-1953). Although I am fond of the asymetrical feature of the T-shirt the color was not as vivid as expected. Each time I wear the lace insert shirt I don't like the way the lace bulges out when I bend over (showing my bra & cleavage IS NOT attractive to me). Finally, the ribbed cotton tie ring top annoys me every time I try to tie the string to the ring. The nice colored wooden ring always faces the shirt and not the public. I've tried many time to work the tie so the ring shows it's nicely polished features but have been unsuccessful. I realize that I could fix it but would rather spend my time doing other activities. I didn't intend to write a "harsh" review but a descriptive evaluation."

Cool shirt,
June 5, 2012
By: Mickey123
"This shirt is ideal for summer since the fabric is so light. You feel cool just looking at it. The way the lines appear on the fabric adds to the look. It wrinkles a bit, some may feel detract from the overall look. However, if you like a cool shirt that has long sleeves, this could be the one for you. It works for me."

Beautiful Shirt,
May 18, 2012

"This is a beautiful, quality shirt. The sizing was accurate and fit well. I did have to exchange it for another style shirt, because I hadn't realized the cotton lawn was as light a fabric as it turned out to be. I rated it excellent because I didn't want to detract from it at all simply because it wasn't heavy enough for my needs on my upcoming trip. That's my error, not the shirt's!"
