"I loved the pants as shown in the catalog - they were trim and nicely tapered....however, the actual pants were NOT tapered but were very large and bulky, not at all like the catalog....I was really disappointed as I ordered 3 pair.

"I admiired these cropped in the catalog last year. When it appeared again this year, I ordered it. Much to my dismay the proportions are unsuitable for someone, who is 5'2" and, thus, returned it. On me, they resemble pants that are too short."

"I had to send these back. The leg bottoms were SO big that they looked like "high water" pants. The fit was just weird. The fabric was just not worth the high price. The shipping for 2 pair was excessive."

"The only reason I would not recommend to a friend is the sizing issue. I would recommend them if my friend could visit a store and try them.
I like the idea of cropped knit pants, especially for travel. Many of the reviews stress that these are sized quite large, women are drowning in them! So I took a chance and ordered small. I an NEVER a small! I'm a size 12 when sized that way, or a medium. Sometimes medium is snug, depending on style.
But these pants fit nicely in small. The cut complements my pear shape. The material is a nice weight, is comfy and looks almost like its woven not knit. The material has that pre washed broken in look. I think they will be great for travel. I took a chance on size and paid more than I might--because of being made in USA--and I am not disappointed."

"These trousers come up much larger than the size suggests, but having ordered a size smaller than I am they are one of the most comfortable pair (or two pairs that I have bought!) of casual trousers I've worn. They wash well and do not need ironing, so are great for travelling especially. I plan to use both pairs as my staple legwear when on African safari!"

"These cropped pants did not work for me. I liked the style and the fabric but they were gigantic on me. If you offered an XS I would have ordered that rather then the S, but truthfully I think the XS would have been too big. I had to return them."
