Four original prints handcrafted for Orvis in Bali are layered together for our long indigo maxi dress. Flattering scoopneck bodice has a stretchy smocked back for custom fit. Tiered full skirt falls gracefully in a full sweep. Maxi dress in navy print. Rayon. Washable. Imported.Sizes: XS(4), S(6-8), M(10-12), L(14-16), XL(18-20); about 35" long from waistline.

"Mail order items can disappoint, but not this dress from Orvis. The right length for me to wear mid calf as I am 5'9'' without heels.Because of the neck not being cut away and the dress having short sleeves, it will be a appropriate to wear for summer business meetings with a navy jacket which is why I ordered it. I get tired of plain suits, yet need to look smart. I am expecting the intensity of colour to last when washed - I will be sure to follow the washing instructions!. The colour is a GLORIOUS shade of blue and very difficult to find elsewhere.This item was not cheap but neither is the effect it creates. I guess you really do get what you pay for...... I love it!"

"Years ago I bought an attractive two piece pants suit from Orvis. I am still wearing it; it fits; it is washable and it looks like new. I am glad to be ordering from Orvis once again. I am certain the Maxi Dress will meet the same standards. Look for more orders!"

"This is the first dress I've bought in years. Now that I am over 50 I've become more pear shaped and have always felt that current fashions accentuate the size of my hips and stomach. This dress has a modest fitted top (the sleeves are not too short), with a flowing skirt that is not too full. The fabric is thick but soft and with a lovely dark blue print. I am 5'4'' and 145 lbs and the medium fits me perfectly. (I do not like my clothes tight.) The length is to my ankles, but I will wear some higher heels to compensate. Even my husband, who can be too honest, said it looked great!"

"Very pretty. Feels like it will feel cool in the summer. I ordered size Large and it fits fine, and it goes over my head quite easily. I've washed it and hung it to dry. Dried very quickly and did not need ironing."

"I sent this back without opening the plastic wrapping. The colors in the print are simply not my cup of tea. I am too short and too heavy to be wearing a maxi dress with this much fitting and fabric (which is why the dress is so cute). Other than personal preferences, I can say nothing negative about this particular dress in rayon."

"I was so pleased when I received this dress in the mail. It is soft and feminine! My daughter is having an outdoor wedding and I was looking for something beautiful and yet washable as we will be at a lake. I looked everywhere, but just could not find what I was looking for! This dress is perfect! The hand batiked prints are just lovely! The clever smocked back means that it fits well now and will still fit if I lose those last 10 or so pounds before the wedding! From other reviews I have learned that it will pack well and release the wrinkles! What a great dress! Thank you!"

"This dress wouldn't go over my head. My head isn't very big, either! I am hoping the neck opening in the dress I was sent was just abnormally small, but this dress definitely went back. The fabric was pretty, typical rayon."
