Snowcock hunt,

"I wore these boots for a couple of months prior to using them for a long planned snowcock hunt in Nevada. They seem narrow when first worn but after hiking continually in the incredibly steep cirques above 10,000' where snow cock live, I can vouch for their toughness and the bob soles grip wonderfully in some very tenuous (and occasionlally scary) terrain. This was a sheep hunt for upland birds and the boots were everything you would want in extreme conditions. I ordered a second pair."

"Im sure the boots are very well built and all that but they seemed to be made for someone with extremely narrow feet and didnt come in different widths. For that reason alone I had to return them. I could understand if I was a man with very large feet but im a size 10 and seemingly normal width. I would simply recommend trying them on in a store before ordering them."

"The Danner Grouse Boot has met my every expectation. I use mine for every activity in the field...dog training, hunting, scouting, etc. The design and durability of these boots are exceptional. Light and breathable, yet rugged. I look forward to enjoying them for years to come."

Best Boot in Rough Terrain,

"I hunt grouse in Ohio where it is steep and rocky. I've owned 4 pairs of the Grouse model by Danner and they are the best boot out there if you are hunting in hills, mountains, for birds. The Air Bob sole grips and the wide platform will not roll over when you side hill. Only boot I've owned that will hold up to two seasons of Grouse hunting in Ohio. Uninsulated so you don't overheat in warm weather. Would be great for western bird hunts as well. Highly recommend."
