"Most everyone knows that the Stormy Kromer is a great hat. I didn't know that they made a waxed cotton version, and I really like it. It is still quite warm for the cool morning, but doesn't get too hot in the afternoon, like the wool does. Its not a summer hat by any means, but a great fall through spring hat. The Orvis exclusive Blackwatch pattern looks good; a patterned hat that isn't gaudy."

"Comfortable cap, well built, and made in the USA. The waxed cotton is a good weight, durable and nice when you get caught out in the rain and with the fold down ear flaps for the cold you are set for almost anything. A slightly shorter shorter bill than your average baseball cap, which I much prefer. Enough to keep rain off your glasses and the sun out of your eyes without obstructing your visibility too much or getting blown off easily.
I like this hat enough that I'm planning on picking up one of the wool versions for the winter."

"This was my second stormy kromer hat and my first time ordering from orvis. I ordered the hat in the same size as my wax cotton tan kromer, and this hat was way smaller. I had to send it back in exchange it for two sizes larger. Orvis exchange was great and simple and had the right fitting hat back in no time. The quality of the hat is excelent and its made in the USA. I will defiantly shop orvis in the future and I have already picked out my next stormy kromer."
