"These are just like the name implies, not made for wearing under shoes or boots. They're very heavy and great for keeping your feet warm around the house on a cold day, but too big too fit under a pair of boots."

"These socks are thick and warm - so warm I would only use them on the coldest nights. They are soft and well made, and I am satisfied. In my experience they are good for wearing while drinking port."
