Livingstone's Sundial Compass

This working replica can be used to determine time, provided the user knows the latitude of his position. Adjustable feet, spirit level, built-in compass. Sundial compass features black enameled brass with silvered chapter ring. Leather case. Dial dia. 58mm; chapter ring dia. 90mm. Personalize case with embossing, up to three letters.

"Neat little doodad for the person who has everything. Very well made and mechanically precise. The included instructions are concise and clear. The previous reviewer who reported "no instructions" either had them omitted by Orvis error, or, more likely, didn't look in the included tag, where they were. This is just a really cool working conversation piece. (irony alert) I didn't realize that "IIII" was a legitimate Roman numeral substitute for "IV"... Just a nit."
