Outcast Super Fat Cat LCS

A large and comfortable fly fishing float tube from Outcast, the Super Fat Cat features an inflatable seat and backrest that provide more comfort and compactibility than the Fat Cat with the same seating position. Adjustable height stripping apron makes casting and landing fish is easier. Apron stays are oversized so each angler can trim them to suit their own fishing style. For most anglers, it works best if the stays are trimmed so at the lowest point the apron is just a few inches above the angler's thigh. Fly fishing float tube in green, red, willow.

Nonbelly boat,
April 17, 2012

"I love my fat cat. You can't call it a belly boat. I had been using a float tube for years , once you get in it you are up to your belly in water. Not only is it uncomfortable, you have to constantly hold your elbows up in the air to cast. If You are in cold water (like an alpine lake) you have to put on layers of fleece pants. Even that won't keep the cold out for long.
In a fat cat the only part of your body in the water is your legs below the knees. Your arms can be at your sides, and casting is easy. When you paddle your feet your not trying to drag your butt through the water so it's much more manuverable, and takes less efort. Tha draft is only 3 inches. If you encounter an obsacle like a sunken log or rock, just lift your feet and float over it.There's lots of storage space, and it folds up small enough to carry in a duffel bag.
I have used mine fishing for bass in Missouri, and trout Colorado.
This is the Cadillac of float tubes.
