Fish Cat 10-IR Stand Up

The Fish Cat 10-IR Stand Up fly-fishing boat's design allows anglers to fish from a more natural standing position while on the water. The unique casting deck and lean bar, which deploy and stow easily, allows the angler to stand up for better casting, sight fishing or just to stretch the legs. Inflatable fly-fishing boat in blue.

Assembly nightmare!,

"1.Assembly took ~12 hrs, largely due to totally inadequate instructions!
A video would really have helped!
2. Product is much heavier than I anticipated. Is definitely NOT a car-topper! Will require a trailer to transport!
3. Nonetheless, the concept (a retractable standup casting platform) is unique. Partial assembly for each use is NOT an easy process! Basically, this is a RAFT, not a glorified float tube!
So, I'm looking forward to giving it a try on local lakes and rivers!
Until then, overall judgement withheld, but assembly and transport logistics was/is bad enough to make me skeptical!

"Overall a solid product and once you throw the silly assembly instructions out, it's not hard to put together. Great flotation characteristics, maneuvers easily and is very stable. I have the standup version with casting platform and lean bar, which I thought might be of marginal value for someone 6'1" and 220 lbs., surprisingly, the craft is both stable and comfortable when standing and casting either a fly rod or conventional tackle. Only issue I had was the delivered item is a bright blue color. I specifically called Orvis; prior to ordering this product to ensure it was in fact green per the picture online. I was assured it was a green Outcast pontoon and placed my order. When it showed up in blue I called Orvis and they found out through Outcast that the item is no longer offered in green. Orvis was very good about it and offered to let me return the product if I was that dissatisfied with it. I kept it and have used it a number of times since. Solid product, my wife also enjoys it."
