Vintage Denim™ Easy-Fitting Skirt
One of our most popular skirts, a gored sweep of soft cotton denim that's surprisingly slenderizing. Easy-fitting style with full-elastic waistband, belt loops, and on-seam pockets. Elastic waist skirts in black, Earl Grey, stone, chambray, dark indigo. Washable. Imported.Regular sizes: S-XL; about 34½" long. Petite sizes: XS-XL; about 32½" long.

"I have ordered probably five of these skirts over many years. I've always enjoyed them, except the hem has always turned up the first time it's washed and ever after unless I iron the skirt. I don't want to do that, and previously I thought this was just a characteristic of denim. I recently ordered this skirt again, hoping maybe the problem had been fixed, after a friend told me a well constructed skirt would not turn up at the hem seam.. The new skirt still turns up. Now it really bothers me, since my friend clued me in. Orvis, why does this skirt behave this way? I'm so disappointed. I can't recommend it because now I know it shouldn't do that. I am not going to start ironing a denim skirt. Too bad; it's a great skirt otherwise."

Problem Odor with Black Denim,

"This black skirt is just fine in all aspects except one. The black denim has a strange odor that remains even after repeated washings and also spraying with fabric freshener. In the past I bought a different style of an Orvis black denim skirt, and it had the same odor problem. Over time I've bought many Orvis skirts and have been very satisfied, but this black denim is one I can not recommend."

"I used to love this skirt. I have it in every color and whenever one fades too much, I replace it. A couple of years ago you changed the fit. Now I have to pay to have it altered to fit the way it used to fit. I sure miss the earlier model."

"The skirt was too full for me. I would have liked elastic in back but not all around skirt creating the extra fullness.The weight of material and color were great.
I would love a long skirt with a sipper
in front of skirt, button above it and elastic just some in back area.

"i bought this in indigo denim because I liked it so much in the gray which I purchased last year. I like full skirts, but like to have a few that are not so full and this is it - a trimmer cut. I like the elastic waist, when it fits just right - tight enough to stay in place, and yet loose enough to be comfortable - again this skirt is that for me. All in all, It is a quality skirt."

"I found the cut of the skirt extremely full through the hips and sides. I also thought the fabric was stiff and did not drape well. I may try to alter but have not attempted yet due to the pockets in side seams. I'm guessing it is 8-10 inches too full."

"I was delighted to receive my order, quickly. The skirt is perfect, great quality, well worht the money. I had already bought the paler denim skirt for the summer and felt I couldn't do without this item of clothing through the winter, hence purchasing the darker shade of denim. I have worn it a lot since it was delivered. It feels comfortable and can be worn both casually and dressed up. I am so pleased I hope this will remain in your catalouge for some time to come."
