"The cashmere used is pretty nice, but the construction is far, far below what Orvis used to represent to me. The sweater has seams like a shirt, not a sweater. The cuffs and hem are not knitted like a sweater.
I used to get really beautiful cashmere sweaters at Orvis. The shortcuts taken now make this sweater a No Go for me."

"I just purchase my 4th and 5th cashmere turtlenecks from Orvis - I have bought one or two in different colors each year for the past couple of years, and I love them and wear them constantly in the winter. They wear very well, with minimal pilling and still look good after many wearings. My one complaint this year is that the new coral colored one is a little longer with longer sleeves than all of the others. I probably should have sent it back but I love the color, so am putting up with it. Other than that, the size M fits me perfectly. I am 5"5' , weigh 145 lbs and am busty (36DDD). Looking forward to new colors for next year, but hope the longer sleeves and body are not the new cut!"

"The sweater that I ordered was not like the ususal cashmere sweaters that I have purchased at Orvis. The sweater was flimsy and the size was not true. I returned the sweater for a refund. Hopefully, Orvis will go back to producing the fine cashmere sweaters they used to. And, the price was way over the top too, not to mention the outrageous shipping charges for an item that took more than 7 days to arrive after I ordered it."

"I love the comfort, warmth yet light texture of cashmere, and this sweater conveys these attributes well. I am exchanging it, however, as the large sits off my shoulders just a bit too far. I look forward to wearing the medium. The purple color is warm, luscious and oh so inviting. Love it!"

"This is to replace the same thing purchased three or four years ago and worn so often that it began to pill. The new one will be for "good" and the old one for "everyday" with jeans. Soft, cuddly, and great color. It retained its shape through dry cleaning and the neck didn't stretch out or sag. It's my favorite sweater"

"I bought one of these sweaters a year or two ago and absolutely love it. Decided to buy another in the very pretty lemon colour, but it is very disappointing,, as it is so much thinner than the previous one ~ in fact almost see-through. Added to which, the price was much higher, so it was not a bargain and of a lesser quality."

"I adore this sweater! Not only is it thick, comfy and cozy, it is generous in size. Perhaps I could have gone with one size smaller but with my bulges, this is a very good choice. The color is unusual, just off a bit from what one usually sees which makes it even more attractive. I have 4 cashmere sweaters from Orvis and will continue ordering them! They are the best!"

"I have returned this item. The quality of the cashmere was poor.
The light coloured jumper was transparent. it was shapeless and the sleeves were too long. it looked rather like a cheap synthetic fabric. One can buy much better quality for much less, or for a similar price a really good quality cashmere that lasts. I would prefer to give no stars."

"I like the color and styling (hems on sleeves and bottom). Not the greatest price value. Sweater has a foul odor - too unpleasant to wear out of the plastic bag. Airing did not eliminate the odor. I air-dried it with a fabric softener sheet in my dryer. Improved enough that I have worn the sweater once. Hopefully, the smell will not return."

"I love the color and most things about the sweater, however, I prefer a ribbed wrist and bottom rather than just a hem. It fits better and looks neater. Quite expensive as without the ribbing it is cheapened."
